St. Paul certainly believed that Jesus was sinless. He expressed this in Hebrews 4:15 where he stated that Jesus was tested like us in all things but did not sin.

Devils Advocate-A Question for X-JW's
by apostate man inok, i am going to play devils advocate and ask the question: are the jw's correct about anything?
surely there has to be something that is commonly agreed upon to be correct.
i am not talking about what current jw's say, i am not talking about simple things like: read the bible, or be a witness.

I'm grateful to Jws for introducing me to the Bible. I still have a love for it, but read it independently of Watchtower literature explaining it to me. I still adhere to their anti-war stance, but have gone even further by taking a pacifistic stand. I have gone from an anti-Trinitarian viewpoint to a belief in it. I still don't smoke, do drugs or get drunk. I no longer oppose blood transfusions
and celebrations of holidays. I still admire the zeal of Jws, although I feel much of it is misguided (too much stress on quotas). Now I would love to reverse the question. What is it that JW's like about x-jws? What is it that Jw's like about Catholics, Protestants, non-Christian religions? Do they find a common ground with these groups?

by TheApostleAK infrom the encyclopedia of heresies and heretics by leonard george.. under the section on jw's.... some members have seriously considered the possibility that popular singer michael jackson (who was once a jw himself) is the archangel michael in (very effective) disguise, preparing to inaugurate the end of history.

I have some friends who belong to the Urantia group. I don't agree with their views, however, none of them condone pedophilia. Don't confuse or compare them with the JWs. -

It shows from Biblical and legendary accounts where they preached, what they accomplished, and where they died. -

There is a church here which also has chimes playing hymns. I will take the bells anyday to those infernal boom car radios, which at all hours, can rock the very foundation of my place! And it's supposed to be against the law! Little enforced.

Saint Satan:
Upon a closer examination of Gal. 2 and Acts 15, perhaps the redactors didn't miss that one. The council of Jerusalem in Acts is a conflation of two different discussions, distinguished in Gal. 2:1-10 and 2:11-14, one concerning circumcision and the other concerning dietary regulations. Luke combined two distinct controversies and their varying solutions (Paul distinguishes them more clearly in Gal. 2). One controversy was about the obligations fo convert Gentiles to observe the Law, and Peter and Paul both took part, see Gal. 2:1-10; the other controversy which took place later was about the social relations between groups of Christian converts, those from Judaism and those from paganism, see Gal. 2:11-14. In this James, in Peter's absence, took the leading part. Any contact with gentiles involved legal impurity for Jews. See Acts 15:20.Whatever the case in Gal. 2, it is apparent that Paul is not creating a schism. He is not breaking the link to the mother church at Jerusalem, here represented by the three "recognised leaders," the "pillars" of vs. 9; that is why Paul felt the collection for the "poor" in Jerusalem to be important (vs. 10 and 1 Cor. 16:1).

I'm not sure Gal. 2:11-14 is referring to the same thing as Acts, unless Luke got it wrong.
In Acts 15:8-12 Peter agrees with Paul. James does likewise (vs. 13-21). Why this reversal in Galatians? And when exactly did Paul and Barnabas go to Jerusalem to consult the council, which included James and Peter? -

St. Satan:
According to Acts, Paul persecuted the church in Jerusalem (and was there at Stephen's death). This persecution scattered a number of believers, who ultimately ended in Antioch (Acts 11:19-21). Barnabas, whom the Jerusalem church sent to Antioch, was responsible for Saul being brought to Antioch, where both instructed a number of people for one year. So, according to Acts, others preceded Paul there as missionaries. After the footwork was done, Barnabas and Paul came along. Also, according to Acts, Paul and Barnabas did not act on there own when the controversy at Antioch arose. Instead they went down to consult the council at Jerusalem. It was this council which decided the issue. See Acts 15. Since the apostles and elders agreed with Paul and Barnabas this only re-enforced what they had been teaching.
Vs. 24 indicates that those who created the controversy had not been sent by the Jerusalem church. There was no clash between Paul and the Jerusalem church.
According to Acts, the Jerusalem church existed before that of Antioch. So, then, Paul could not have invented Christianity at Antioch. Christianity predates Paul at Antioch. -

Simon:
The Essenes beliefs resemble those of Jesus in some aspects, but not in others.
There's a better chance of John the Baptist having been an Essene, then Jesus.
