A big decision no one wants to make, but would you have a preference?
And, I guess it may depend on what kind of relationship you have with your family.

this youtube video, apparently taken by the nice young couple who are featured in it, includes part of a church service, somewhere in shanghai.
it has to be an official church, wny?
because its in a church building which means its been registered with the government.. the chinese have a long experience with religious rebellions, so they watch them carefully.. .

Some nice scenes of Shanghai at night later in the video.
has anyone watched the videos for children on jw.org?
i feel sick.. in one video a little girl dreams about paradise: the blind can see again, the deaf can hear again, and of course, she gets to hug a cute little panda cub.
not until the end of the video is her wheelchair revealed.
Christianity has been doing the same thing for 2000 years.
Every time you go to a Christian funeral, the lies are trotted out again.
The Jws are no better/no worse than all the other Christian groups.
-------------------
PS: I've just been studying the early Christian martyrs, they were taught that to die a martyr's death would mean an immediate resurrection to heaven.
after a thorough investigation and weighing of the evidence the grand jury has decided not to indict the officer.. the reaction so far seems as predicted - people refuse to accept that the result represents justice despite claims that is what they wanted.. there is now violence and vandalism, including gunshots.
let's hope the police contain the troublemakers.. .
Chaserious: There was definitely not enough evidence to convict Officer Wilson. That said, it's very unusual for a grand jury not to indict, and even more unusual for a prosecutor to act like he doesn't mind that an indictment was not returned. The whole indictment process was probably a charade, and if not for the public scrutiny the prosecutor' office probably wouldn't have brought these charges.
Is this (below) true?
From an FB page: McCullough, the prosecuting attorney should never have headed the grand jury. Bob McCullough's father was a police officer who was killed in the line of duty by an African American.
pentecost 33 ce (well, maybe?).
when they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken.
7 utterly amazed, they asked: arent all these who are speaking galileans?
I drew much of my information from this report in COUNTERPUNCH:

Pentecost 33 CE (well, maybe?)
When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. 7 Utterly amazed, they asked: “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans? 8 Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language? 9 Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia , Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, [ a ] 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome - Acts 2:6-10 NIV
So these people went home and started to meet in little communities. The little communities grew larger ...
The ruins of Saint Elijah's Monastery founded in 595 AD south of Mosul by the Christian monk Mar Elia (from Wikipedia)
They were caught up in many conflicts (the Roman-Sassanian wars, the spread of Islam, etc) but they hung on and survived. In the 1980's there may have been about 1,500,000 Christians in Iraq.
Then President Boy George had his brain-snap and invaded Iraq, and now there are less than 250,000 and droping in the midst of the chaos tht President boy George managed to unleash.
Two years ago, the Orthodox Pope in Lebanon sent Mar (father) Jalal Yako to attempt to build up the community. He says he has failed and its time for Christians to leave Iraq.
But in the past six months Father Yako has changed his mind, and he now believes that, after 2,000 years of history, Christians must leave Iraq. Speaking at the entrance of a half-built mall in the Kurdish capital Irbil where 1,650 people from Qaraqosh have taken refuge, he said that “everything has changed since the coming of Daesh (the Arabic acronym for Islamic State). We should flee. There is nothing for us here.” When Islamic State (Isis) fighters captured Qaraqosh on 7 August, all the town’s 50,000 or so Syriac Catholics had to run for their lives and lost all their possessions.
So the END has arrived for 2000 years of Christian historyin Iraq.
And Jesus, who promised:
" Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Is nowhere to be seen

Yeah, mine too.
I got rid of my copy of the Commentary on James. Sorry I did that now, I would have liked to compare it to what is said about the Letter in academic publications. I suspect that something in that book was a trigger for events in Brooklyn. I once told the Aussie branch overseer that I really liked that book, and got the third degree of questioning as to why. (in an exceptionally nice way)
Still have, and use, my copy of the Aid book and its immediate successor.
