  Suicides in the JWs

  during my time in the jws there was a friend i had known since i was a small child.

  he was an elder's son and around my age.

  he would often instigate the game of "tag" after the meetings.

  As Blondie mentioned this has changed. However, this being the case I remember this young man who did commit suicide in the 60's. He was deleted as a Regular Pioneer for masturbation. He couldn't live with the shame, He felt that he let his family, and friends down. They did hold a funeral talk at the KH for him. The story was that he died choking on his medicine, The truth did get out through time. This was sad for me and my friends to deal with. Now, through the years, when I remember this event it makes me feel angry

  JWs Excited Trump Won

  i am incredibly disturbed.

  many of the jws i'm still friends with on facebook are incredibly excited that trump won the american presidential race, posting, "yay!

  I don't think this election has anything to do with the last day predictions. Did Jehovah and Jesus vote in this election to make it so? Did the GB vote?

  so let me get this straight.. the borg moves into their new corporate country club....

  with their luxurious lakeside condos.

  takes all the congregations funds promising new kingdom halls.

  but instead starts selling off kingdom halls ..then makes faithful old brothers and sisters drive 20-30 miles to another one, and .kicks out half the bethelites for only only tech savy college educated ones.can barely afford to send out printed publications anymore.

  Yes, and talk about the pressure of ordering a new song book. We got grilled about if we really needed a hard copy. We need to keep the costs down, you know.

  just a heads-up in case we disappear too, there's a massive ddos attack happening that has knocked a lot of major sites offline:.

  things like this can have knock-on effects as other systems become overloaded, so far we seem ok so fingers crossed we stay that way..

  The only cat that won't make it is Cat Stevens. Since the judgement is between the Sheep and the goats, cats have been given a free pass. But they need to pay attention to the instructions in the new scrolls, and mice will be off limits.

  i have had a very strange day with a lot of strange dealings with people with strange behavior today but this one incident was just over the top.

  CNN doc 'Holy Hell'

  i just saw the documentary 'holy hell' on cnn, about a cult called buddhafield.

  it was a small group but has existed since the 80s and still has a few followers.

  classic cult stuff, much of which i found eerily familiar.

  I think some of the GB wear Spedo's, and Losch does Ballet. He definitely is famous at performing the Nut Cracker. Tony does that Vulcan mind meld. They are similar
