I hate this reporting of numbers. When I was the secretary there was a publisher that made Pioneer hrs each month, but never signed up. The CO would chastise me when he thought the stats were off. He asked why was she omitted? I said, " She was approached on the matter and felt that she didn't need it announced each month". She was a good example, of not broadcasting her sacrifice.

ANOTHER SHOOTING
by Mary inalbuquerque, n.m. - authorities in new mexico have arrested a 15 year old boy who shot and killed his parents and siblings.
i heard on the news this morning that the little bastard admitted that he had also planned on going to an open place (like a mall or school perhaps?
) and opening up fire on everyone there too.

I'm so offended by what happened today at the KIngdom Hall!!
by Vienna Angelika inso today we were late for the meeting as usual.
this is because i take a really bad medication where i literally cannot function in the first part of the day but without it i am even worse.
we got there near the end of the talk and it was in my opinion very anoying.

Sorry to hear about your medical condition, and how some react to it because of ignorance. JW's are imperfect and many times come accross as cruel despite their best intentions.
I remember when I was young, some in the congregation didn't want their children to associate with me because my parents were inactive.
I did have a good friend that hung in, and we pioneered many years as we grew up together.
I used to be in charge of a First Aid dept at the assemblies, and understand the issues that you faced. So many came, but I felt that they should have stayed at home. One time a older brother came to the assembly, and had breathing problems. He stayed in the first aid the whole time. The next month he had died. He gave his all, to his faith.
You will learn that these things will stop to bother you in time as you get older.
Peace

Not strange at all. We use different Bible translations that are backed by different faiths, why not ideas?

i normally get one or two right, but it could be because they like the others in the news are generic in nature.

January 2013 warns parents to resist contact with df'd children again
by stuckinlimbo insee page 15-16. full of "straw men" like:.
* do not blame yourself it is the child that jehovah blames - parents do not care whose fault it is they just want their child not to be killed by god.
* it is ok for parents to hope their df'd child returns - was anybody really asking if that was wrong?.

When I see comments like these in the WT, I get the feeling that the GB is losing their war against DF relatives. I remermber this article when it was printed, and it hasn't affected the ones in our congregation that have DF'd relatives. They still text/email/call their DF'd relatives. The article says as an excuse, to not send an unessary email. Well, most of these parents have necessary busines such as babysitting their grandchildren to attend to. Funny thing, sending a note on a pidgeon, hasn't been outlawed yet. The sad thing is that the poor JW parents don't have a voice to express their frustrations, but, the GB seems fit to exploit the publications to voice their comments.

Would You Think Twice About Talking Negatively Toward Islam, The Koran or The Prophet?
by minimus inwould you fear that there might be "consequences"??
?.

It depends on who I'm with. I have work mates that are muslims. They have expressed negative comments towards Islam. They know, and are afraid of the Extremists.

gripes i have always had about CO's
by nowwhat? ini hate it when the co viits the sister congregation and a hundred publishers in our hall have to change our meeting schedule to accomodate his schedule.
why can't he adopt his scheddule to the congregation he's viisting?.
we are not allowed to have day off but he gets mondays and most of tueday off.. it could be snowing or pouring down rain on a saturday but we are expected to go out to support the co.. even though the apostle paul worked as a tentmaker so he wouldnt be a financial burden on the brothers why couldnt the co work part time on mondays?

Your prayers are supposed to be about what is in your heart, not from the lips of other people. Otherwise it is their prayers, not yours that you are uttering. If that elder doesn't like your prayer, he can refuse to add, "Amen" to it. That's all.
There are examples that Jesus prayed for the nations

Four thousand dollars may be a big step for her, she also may know that you don't need it right now.
What about a smaller step? Could she pay you back in one, two, or three years in monthy installments? Could that be suggested?
