"And Your Little Dog Too...." WTS not content with taking kids' ice cream money, now they want them to give up their puppy dogs too.
by sir82 indon't know if anyone else caught this subtle but malicious photo from the 12/13/15 wt study article.. not sure how to post pictures here, but the photo is on the website's copy of the article, just below paragraph 12:.

Yes, R&R, I agree with you. The map became their focus. Somewhere in the family discussion was the question, "How can we get by on just the Family Allowance Cheque?" -

What's this??? Not all Sub CO's are equal? They need connections?
How do you know which ones that is?
Hmmm... "I feel that the force is strong with this one"

Well Poopie, that is a good question. The CO could be teaching somewhere in TinBukToo for six months and will come home to finally listen to his telephone messages. He may be teaching Pioneer school for 7 days, and then stop and serve an Isolated congregation and then return home to look at his messages. He may have Call Display on his phone and when he notices that the unimportant Sub CO is calling and choose not to talk to him until the next scheduled Assembly. But don't worry about all of this. Don't you know that appointments are made by Holy Spirit. -

Some who have gone to serve where the need is greater have brought their pets. But, I do think that there is a silent message in that photo. How pathetic that is. -

Thanks, I also wondered about this. It's kind of a useless week isn't it, when a CO visit has no teeth? -

Yes, Fulano. That was a long time ago. Wooden shoes finally went out of style ever since they played that Lord of The Rings Trilogy. -

My beautiful 7th grade daughter just finished her Christmas Concert tonight.
by PaintedToeNail inmy lovely daughter played in her orchestra's concert tonight, in spite of her father who tried to make her feel guilty about it.
he went to the kh tonight, while my youngest child and i went to listen to joyous music played by the local kids at our town's school.
my girl was front and center and she did a great job.

That's good, PTN. I gave my perspective because I lived the experience of growing up in a divided household. My unbelieving father forced me to decorate a Christmas tree, and to participate in many celebrations that I was taught to be unchristian. I'm grown up now, and I have raised my kids in the JW faith. My family has had much enjoyment without participating in those holidays. We respect others who do want to celebrate as well.
So sorry to hear about your husband's uncaring attitude toward your family.

I remember in Elementary school feeling left out in some of those activities. Then there was an opportunity that I could engage in. Later on, at the end of singing, the group of kids had to turn a certain direction and pretend that they were saluting a flag. I didn't know what to do. I reasoned that because there wasn't a literal flag that we were saluting, then pretending to salute wasn't that wrong. Some may disagree. After that I never cared anymore in participating in those after school activities. Hope you had fun, and that your daughter is participating because she wants to. Be aware that she may possibly have some reservations -

Ah....I love the Dutch. But I did work for a Dutch Supervisor a long time ago. We really never got along. It started over an argument about his wooden shoes. He threatened to fire me after that. But, things slowed down and we were both laid off at the same time. I can still remember him walking away into the Subway. Click, click, click, click, Whooosh
Good for the Dutch for booting those Scientologists
