  why has camping been given so much creedance?

  does it not make you cringe when so many stories have been created about him and his prediction?

  Most Muslims I talk to quickly reject the Islamic funamentalists, and gladly show passages in the Qu'ran that show peacefulness. Yet some will disregard the "soft Muslims" and equate them all to Jihadists because some small groups out of the billions of muslims are fighters.

  " at the bottom of the image on the back of the invitation raises some eyebrows, but last night in the routine district convention article during the service meeting, i caught that one of the paragraphs mentioned that we would be encouraged to keep a copy of the tract in hand for a discussion during sunday's last talk.

  my guess is, there is going to be some new revelation about what the "?

  inglewood, calif. m-bone of the rap group cali swag district, which scored a hit last year with the song "teach me how to dougie," was killed in a weekend drive-by shooting as he sat in a car outside a liquor store, police said monday.. the 22-year-old inglewood man, whose real name is mante ray talbert, was sitting in the driver's seat of his car shortly after 10:30 p.m. sunday.. "another car pulled alongside, gunshots were fired, and the victim was struck twice in the head," lt. james madia said.

  a man sitting in the passenger seat of talbert's car was not injured, lt. gabriel garcia said.. talbert was pronounced dead at a hospital.. lt. steve overly said the motive for the attack was under investigation.

  several theories have been put forward on social media sites and detectives were following up on some of those to see if they were credible, he said.. talbert was "the victim of a random act of violence," cali swag district's publicist greg miller said in a statement..   Never heard of him. There are lots and lots and lots of rappers. But not a lot can rap as the term was coined from a method cats used to 'rap' to one anouther about ... life.

  i'm in the middle of a bible watchtower publication study with one of them who thinks i'm interested in joining the religion.

  Oh boy. So according to the Watchtower, Jesus was apparently just "hanging out" in heaven from 33 C.E. till 1914. I guess he needed a vacation anyway, it's got to be tough living up to the expectations of being perfect.

  Dude, 1000 years is but a day to Jehovah. Jesus just hung out a couple of days. Satan was probably running around scared the whole time too, because he knows the bible and knew what John had envisioned/penned about him.

  A baby is born into this world but the color blue hurts its eyes.

  It's a boy!

  "Ahhhhhh, why are my parents torturing me to this badness?

  Why can't I communicate with them to stop this evil??"

  The story has a good ending. The boy grew up and was not harmed up after all. The pain of being hurt by blue images was not even remembered by him.

  i belive its been found that the romans used both, so what does it matter?.

  what does it matter that the roman word for cross sounds also like a word for another god?.

  It is their way of highligting that any symbol used to worship may be an idol. No one would use a stake as a symbol, that would simply be an obelisk... oh wait...

  Any JW, please help- I need just one thing!

  --the name of a real live (not dead) member of the faithful and discreet slave class- someone who has admitted in public they are one of the f&ds and who can verify they have been providing the "meat in due season" for the governing body.

  obviously the gb can't be the f&ds, because they are neither discreet nor do they have a position of servitude- no, they have made it plain they are the bosses over jws and jws have to obey their words, as if jehovah and jesus were speaking them, or else they will get the disfellowshiped.

  just one verifiable name will do and how you obtained it.. the governing body claims that the f&ds are directing them and the worldwide work of jws, but they have never proven that they have a f&ds class they communicate with- just have one of the annointed call bethel and ask to speak to one of the gb and see what the switchboard operator does with their call.

  I've known two members of 'the anointed' One was asked directly if he communicated with Bethel. The indirect answer given was something about harmony. The direct answer was no.

  hey all - as some of you may know, i've been engaged in a pretty big debate with family members as well as internet acquaintances over whether the jw's are a cult.

  thanks to everyone who have posted links to threads that have helped me in my dialogue with them - its actually working.

  the latest is that one of the posters i've been dialoging and he says that agrees with me on many points but he brought up the following response and i ask (how would you respond to this) that i have posted below (by the way, the person he references as gq is me - its my username on that web site):.

  To counter his claim means to getting a better understanding for why you and all of us are out.

  I won't say I can answer all his questions. But to live in a way only because he thinks it is the lesser of other evils is not really having faith in the WTB&TS and Jesus then Jehovah. Notice the order that I put that, with the GB first.

  Within any organization, of course there will be order if there is a structure and no mutual partnership. It also means that, inevitably, there is someone at the top and those at the bottom. Easily, those at the top control the bottom by incentives and promotion. What is most harmful when dealing with an organization that lays claim to divine inspiration, is the declaration that that organization, and not God, is lead over your life. Remember that Jehovah is a jealous God? Idol worship occurs within the Kingdom Halls.

  Lets look at the monthly course of "spiritual food"

  The magazines (Public and Study WT, Awake) are what 30 pages each? The KM 4-5 pages per month. The book study has about 20 pages per month if the books were average size. If you have a part, you've researched 5 other pages of WT material per part. If you "look into the deeper things of God" for the WT study and others, you look at an additional 5 pages of extra material per week.

  90-140 pages of WT literature a month are to be read and honored by active JWs by going door to door with the message from the publications. The scriptures that are used are excerpts, and used over and over and over. So you get to a point that you don't need the Bible. To keep up, you have to read the publications.

  Sure sounds like putting man ahead of Jehovah and worshipping what these men produce. All the while the ONLY scripture that we need to believe in that gives them this authority is Matt 24:45-47???
