  Memorial for Disfellowshipped or Inactive members of WTB&TS

  i've never heard of someone who was disfellowshipped having a memorial announced for a kh.

  i can't recall inactive either.

  what are other's experiences?

  I've never heard of someone who was disfellowshipped having a memorial announced for a KH. I can't recall inactive either. What are other's experiences? Do these ones, if they have not signed up with some other religion, end up being abandonded from having anyone conduct their funeral?

  More apostate hating from the Watchtower

  i ran across this post on fb-.

  the november 15, 2011 study version of the watchtower, has this to say in an article praising jehu's actions against the family of ahab.

  "the prophet elisha sent one of the sons of the prophets to anoint jehu as king and to instruct him to kill every male of the apostate house of ahab.2 ki.

  I find it sad that the GB, if they consider themselves and elders in general modern Jehus that that

  last part of the article applies to them as well.

  It helps children learn that adults will lie and encourages them to be better than their parents when they grow up. If kids think their parents are perfect, that may seem too far of a goal to reach.

  But there is a complication. "If I became better than my parents after learning they would lie to me, will my kids also do the same?"

  The world is not perfect, Lie to and beat your kids and they will be fine.

  this was entertaining about how many don't want that book thing. I don't want it either yet my system has electrons that occupy two pdfs that may or may not have been used to house enough space for two copies. I'm glad I know nothing about that.

  a lot of people here have read and highly recommend ccmc by steven hassan and coc by ray franz, myself included.

  i don't know how i would have handled leaving the borg without that knowledge.. so thinking that got me to wondering, who here has not read them (or has read one but not the other), and how are you coping with exiting the borg?

  I get confused with Coc being used for "Crisis of Conscience" or "Captives of a Concept"

  I've not read either. All it took was WT publications over time to see their deceit.

  Jehovah does not change but the organization does

  Wrong thinking in the past (old light) was really misunderstandings by R&F, not WT errors

  Overlapping generations

  i would like to hear people's opinions on intolerant religious groups?

  who wins?.

  somehow, i have this notion that pentecostals would win 1st place, followed by baptists, followed by jw's.

  I would put JWs before Baptists. They have their own terms for other religions within themselves such as Cristendom. Or how about Babalon the Great.
