Cold Steel, and so goes the problem with the Governing Body. They have raised themselves up as the only verifyiable (in their mind) annointed. They do this but are only spirit directed (or so they say), giving the impression that they have greater insight in how they came to be annointed than the rest.

When the Witnesses ignore the other families with their needs and instead look to offer Bible studies, I wonder if they will be honest and quote Galations 6:10.
Really, then, as long as we have time favorable for it, let us work what is good toward all, but especially toward those related to [us] in the faith.
Every time I see this used as a response for what R&F should do in emergency cases, it gives a stern reminder that "those worldly people" are not related to those associated with the WTB&TS.

When you were a jw....Christmas day...

most people have off so it would be convenient.
in my mind, if you got together with family or jw's shared a meal or drinks, perhaps watched a movie or played games you did celebrate the day.

Different stokes for different folks. I had over 25 years of christmas before joining. The 15 years before joining I had already stopped for my own reasons.

You probably don't have a majority race who thinks so less of you. You have to wonder what that person, if they were in authority, might do. You seem to be the type who wants to "even the score" and "take back America". When redneck becomes associated with an oppressed race by those who hate through murders, lynchings, or whateve scheme you have, call me.

On the 2nd part, that just believing is enough.. It does present a problem, but the Org is cunning enough.
I'm agreeing with you right there, buth then again no one confronts or questions them about the basis for the organizational baptismal questions when one who is ready is fully aware of Matt 28:19. So why would they question going through a bunch of other stuff like Hebrews 5:12 states they should? Perhaps some do, and those are ones who are "not ready yet" and either escape before being baptised or go through more "intense study".

Witnesses believe that Jesus is the Son of God so there is no problem there.

When they baptize they can't get around knowledge of Matt 28:19
Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit,
since it is a fundamental scripture used, yet they still inject the two baptismal questions.

Wasn't trying to be cruel, actually trying to be reassuring about the dreading it part. And christmas without presents and just family can still be dreadful. All kinds of people are depressed for various reasons during this time of year.

You forgot one thing. What if the gun owner is mentally-ill? I think that people can be seemingly stable and that just because they snap does not mean they would be considered ill enough to not get a gun when you get into the details.
