marriedtoajw, I understand that you are too busy to look for a job for her, but you can post your wife's resume or tell them what jobs she can do, just go to craiglist website and click on resumes on the bottom right of your screen. We already gave you some pretty good advice.

It might take few years before he wakes up. Maybe he will never wake up, nothing you can do about it except to be a good father to him. Maybe talk to him about educational opportunies when the right time comes, once he is not under your roof where your JW wife lives, then he might drift away from the witnesses. Be patient. Good Luck! If you are still angry about the situation, they will think you are persecuting them, that is what the witnesses teach!

truth, no I would not go for a bible reading, maybe for a public talk to see how good he delivers the talk, it has nothing to do with what doctrines will be explained, etc... It would depend on who will be giving the talk and the theme of the talk. I do not think he should go, it would be a waste of time. It is up to him. I like ABibleStudent's suggestion.

Public talk is a huge thing, but for bible reading, thats nothing, he reads the introduction, read many verses then he will give the conclusion of his talk, just about 5 minutes.

Too sick or injured but still made it to the meeting!
by RULES & REGULATIONS ini once attended a two day special assembly with my gums bleeding after having 4 widom teeth pulled the day before.
i managed the two days by rinsing out my mouth all day long and placing cotton in my mouth.. one brother had back surgery the week before but attended a two day assembly by laying on a matress in the back of the assembly hall.
why he needed to be there i'll never understand!.
