It is obvious that the "overlapping generations" that was introduced last year was a knee jerk reaction because the generation that will live to see the WT's prophesy is quickly dying off. It is evident that this most recent new-light has backfired on them. I have spoken to many people from the congregation on this subject and the overwhelming feeling is that this system is going to go on for some time. One couple expressed to me that "they have come to terms that they will probably grow old in this system of things". Due to the WT's own doing-people have definitely lost their sense of urgency. Don't be surprised to see articles like this surfacing more often that they used to-that is until they come up with the seventh explanation of the Generations!!

3/15 WT " Do Not Deceive Yourself "- WT's Excuses for No Armageddon
by flipper inwith the new " overlap generation " theory that the wt society is pushing onto rank and file jehovah's witnesses since last year this article i found really heavy hitting in the jw version of the wt.
the wt society is leaking oil in that confidence is low among jw's in not really buying into the " generation overlap " theory as many younger jw's are exiting the organization.
so what better way to try reeling members back in by giving them an article entitled " do not deceive yourself with false reasoning " !

Great post "Lost Generation"
And with no exception as to age, Paul gave this reminder: "Each of us will render an account for himself to God."-Rom. 14:12. Both baptized and unbaptized worshippers are accountable to God.
That's great news! If we are accountable regardless if we are baptised are not, then why would you get baptised and risk getting DF'd???? At least you have the peace of mind that when your values and outlook changes from when you were a few years shy of a toddler when you got baptised, (yes you will change, it is a strange metamorphoses known as puberty) you will not be shunned and lose your family forever. These WT articles continually contradict themselves, I think since the old guard has died the new writing committee is extremely lazy!

No Part of The World Circuit Assembly Highlights
by DavinciCodeBreaker inwell this past weekend was pretty much as predicted, the demonstrations were probably the worst i have ever seen.
you know the ones i mentioned on a post last week where in the middle the participant has a sudden epiphany!
here is a sampling of just a few.. .

The outlines were spot on "dozy". What was ironic about “Demonstration 2” is that the young lad asked his father if he and his friend (the one who would show up dressed casually) could go to the park. The father agrees to this and still coerces the young man to change back into his suit knowing full well that they were going to the park afterwards. "Ya let's go play tag football in our suits!" How moronic. After reading the outlines it reaffirmed to me that these demonstrations are indeed coming straight from the GB with no wiggle room for the local brothers to make these demonstrations a little more realistic. Thanks for this post, I can’t wait to show this to my sceptical wife.

The saddest part of these assemblies is when I see new ones (usually born-ins) getting baptized. Especially when I hear the question asking for their allegience to the WTBTS! I think they should ask the same question they do at weddings-where they ask if anyone has any objections to speak now...it would be interesting don't you think?

Well this past weekend was pretty much as predicted, the demonstrations were probably the worst I have ever seen. You know the ones I mentioned on a post last week where in the middle the participant has a sudden epiphany! Here is a sampling of just a few.
- First one was guarding against patriotism, in particular chering for sports teams connected to a Country. Two young men cheering on their olympic sports team when suddenly one of them has his "epiphany" that this wrong and this is not honoring Jehovah. Then amazingly he was able to recall points including several scriptures from a service meeting part a few weeks back. Again just so over the top in how they try to control us.
- Young man is deciding what to buy with his Tax Refund, of course it would be unthinkable to actually use brand names so he decides he is going to buy a new "Cranberry" smart phone and i-Slab tablet computer and a 3D TV( this is where he says, "why I could have ones over from the congregation to watch the society's videos" - gag!) Then he has his epiphany and decides his existing technology is good enough and then in one of the cheapest and sleaziest plugs ever he decides he is going to contribute a portion of his tax return to the Worldwide Work and some to the Kingdom Hall Fund. It was just a disgusting plug to solicit for funds!
- Profiles two families- one is a witness family the other family "has not yet come to know Jehovah". The "wordly" father comes home on a Friday night and is excited about spending some time with his family. All his kids are either on the phone texting or playing video games. Basically all his kids (3) have made other plans and even his wife is off to a class and then for drinks with her girlfriends. He then decides to go to a pub to watch the game with some work associates. Then the "model" witness family; they just finish a delicious meal and then plan their weekend, it consists of a Friday night practice session for their presentations for the ministry for Saturday morning and to do some personal research in the WT to help their teenage daughter come up with a good reply to one of her schoolmates as to why she can't attend her worldly party- this was iniated by the young girl. (yeah right) Then after the ministry on Saturday it is their turn to clean the kingdom hall and all of them are really looking forward to this priviledge. Then after, for their token weekend recreation-it's out to the woods for a fire and marshmellows (of course everyone in the family are so excited). Then on Suday after the meeting they are going to have the speaker and his wife over for lunch and are loooking forward to their experiences. Lastly they are going to invte a couple that was recently on a foreign assignment to come over for dinner to share their experiences. Of course all the children are estatic about this amazing weekend that they have planned.
It was very disturbing that they portray all worldly families as disfunctional and witness families as so happy and content. I know many families outside the org that are very close, more so than many witness families. Their M.O. is always to put everyone outside the organization down. It was an absolutely unrealistic and disgusting portrayal.
The last point that I will share, was a talk that cautioned us on what we talk about. It referenced Luke 6:45, from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. It had another cheezy demo of a brother that spoke only about his new business and then felt sudden regrets. Another epiphany! What was really disturbing is the speaker then goes on to instruct everyone what we can talk about with fellow believers. You know the usual canned response; field service experiences, a point we really enjoyed from our weekly bible reading, etc. Here they are telling us what to talk about with fellow beleivers. So going back to their theme bible text. If we are being TOLD what to talk about with fellow beleiver; how is it that this is suddenly coming from our hearts?
There were many other points, however I don't feel the need to pontificate on all of them; I think everyone reading this post will get the picture. Their control tactics are very much "alive and well".
It was a complete waste of my weekend, if there are others that haven't decided if you are going to attend or not-don't go! This may well have been my last circus assembly!!!!

The absolute worst thing about these assemblies-the demonstrations. Usually a family setting or young ones doing what any normal teenager would, but in the middle of their so called debauchery they have a sudden epiphany...usually start out something like this; "wait...wait, now what would Jehovah think of this, he would not approve". Then go on to quote 25 scriptures and then "come to their senses" then everyone applauds. It is enough to make me sick and everyone you speak to agrees that the demos are so stupid and unrealistic, yet they keep shoving these scenarios down our gullible throats. BTW ANON JW my assembly is also this weekend, maybe we are at the same one. I will be the guy in the blue suit and tie with a bored disconnected look on my face-oh wait that is what all the clones will look like. OK that settles it, I will wear my Jesus Saves T-Shirt with the cross under my dress shirt. See you there!

Anyone With Major Judicial/Service Department Experience?
by A question inis there anyone on the board with a large amount of experience with judicial matters or (preferably) with the service department of the society or perhaps even worked on the service department?
if so, i would appreciate the answers to at least some of the following questions:.
does the society ever take the initiative to remove elders, and if so, how do they do it?
-
DavinciCodeBreaker
I know of at least two congregations where the entire body was removed; both was due to in-fighting and divisions on the body. On the latter case the entire body was deleted and the congregation was also dissolved and the rank and file sent to neighboring congregations. The CO and DO were directly involved in what many so called innocent members of the body considered extreme and heavy handed. The irony is that the original two sh-t disturbers that caused all the problems in the first place have been reappointed in the same hall and one of the elders in question has been deleted THREE TIMES! Oh for sure it is Jehovah's Holy Spirit that continues to appoint these repressive power hungry men-what a beacon of spiritual leadership!!!

Accidentally Leaving a Flash Drive in the KH Parking Lot
by RayPublisher ini've been playing around with this strategy for awhile.
how could i crack the defenses and get a jw to read crisis of conscience, captive to a concept, etc., or just some reasoning points in general on blood, 1914, the history of the wt organization?
i want to help my brothers and sisters, i am still inside for a while longer and feel like i need to do something more tangible.. so i was thinking that if a flash drive was "accidentally" left on the ground in the parking lot.

I agree with some previous posts. I can almost guarantee this will fall into the hands of the elders. They will email you as if they were truly moved blah, blah, blah. I would be careful of a trap like this. I talk to friends all the time doing my bit to rescue good hearted people. Just bring up topics like "the generations" or certain points in the WT. I often ask a question such as: Do you think Jehovah could ever remove his Holy Spirit from the governing body? If they say yes, then the conversation go anywhere. If they so no, then I ask; so Jehovah's H.S. upon the GB is unconditional? Was this same HS unconditional with the Nation of Israel, did he remove his HS from his "chosen race, his people of special possesion"? Unless they are dug in like a tick with the WTBTS dogma it usually opens up some interesting dialogue. I have many friends now that are "pf the conscience class" using subtle tactics, however you still need to be cautious not to get too emotional.
Cheers

Dave DID NOT partake at 17! He did not claim to be of the annointed until he was close to finishing his circuit work in Canada. (He was in his ate 40's or early 50's) Yes his wife Linda was crushed when he started to partake. I got to know him when he was our C.O. I always liked him as he was very down to earth and was an amazing speaker, you may not like his distorted message but at least he did note bore you to tears like most speakers.

Here is a very recent quote:
September 15 2010 pg 8 par 7
"We cannot hope to aquire a good relationship with Jehovah if we ignore those whom Jesus has appointed to care for his belongings.Without the assistance of "the faithful and discreet slave", we would neither understand the full import of what we read in God's word the bible nor know how to apply it."
How arrogant of them!
