  It seems to me that if the WTBS were really interested in the rank and file being prepared for the GT, they would portray them trying to escape and survive off the grid with gathered food and gear, not cowering in a suburban basement waiting for the police to put them into cattle cars or something.

  Now, if and when the government tries to arrest them, they are going to be ripe for the picking instead of trying to evade and hide and escape. A big disservice to their supposed brothers and sisters...'Just hide in a basement, and when they find you, offer your wrists for the handcuffs. Be submissive. Let them take your kids. Stand there and do nothing but stare at them"

  i am sure that after the dust of the jwr shutdown has settled, you will find this to be a good new home.. i would like to apologize for the sudden closure of jwr.

  What did they expect? I don't hate DS, but he was expecting this, thus agreeing to pull the plug. Cause and effect. I've simmered down a bit now. Truly, I'm thinking of the ones who needed JWR and suddenly it was gone. That's all. What he's doing now doesn't help. So why bother?

  Mickey, I apologize for possibly upsetting you. Please know I have nothing against you. No ill will. I'm sorry if it felt like I was attacking you. Didn't mean it that way. But this is a forum, where we can opine and discuss things, even if some people do not like it. Things need to be said, that's all I'm saying.

  I liked you DS, but your own selfish part in the closing down of JWR has made me see you differently. Total loss of fellow feeling and respect for you. Back peddle if you want...It's not helping. If you were truly the intelligent helper you seemed to be, you would have given us more consideration during your support of Rifter's decision. All of the help and support you may have been a party to now seems null and void to me after knowing you supported unplugging people who are vulnerable, scared, and thought they had found help.

  Why bother posting anything else and staying until the end of the month? You've said enough already...

  i was a member there since 2010. i was really surprised.

  i had just started posting there again after being away for a while.

  We understand your position MM. But I think your loyalty to the admin of JWR is a bit perplexing. We know that this wasn't your fault and that you tried to reason with them. I do not hold anything against you. So the adamant defense of them in light of how we are reacting rubs the wrong way.

  Personal growth for themselves but chaos, upset, and the feeling of betrayal for us. The scales are not balancing out (for us anyway). Basically they carried out their selfish plan with no thought for the people they claimed to want to help. Just "I'm tired of this weight around my neck, fuck it, 'YANK' the plug is out of the wall now, yeah!'

  Spin it any way you want, but that's about the size of it...(no ill feeling toward you MM)

  i just came over from jwr.

  a little background: my mom converted to the witnesses when i was five.

  i was baptized at 14, was mentally out by 18, and successfully faded by the time i was 25. mom and both my younger sisters and their families are still in.

  Hi Wayward. I came from JWR too. You might not know me because I posted little in recent times. I joined this site right around the same time as JWR, but spent most of that time on JWR. I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you better.

  Hey there Quee! I'm glad now that I joined both sites with the same username. Rifter never seemed to be much of a hugger. He was more of a hall monitor than someone you look to for help and friendship. The mods were better at giving a helping hand. It's like an era in my life has concluded, sort of. But hey, This is a good site with lots of info and many caring people. My new Exjw home...
