In the new year, 2012, I resolve to let the former hurts perpetrated by my parents and the wtbts have a lesser grip on my throat. I furthermore resolve to try and let go of those hurts and recover more fully as an ex cult member. I'll try to smoke and drink less, but no promises there. I'll do my best to be a more productive and reliable member of this forum. I'll try to help those like me as best I can and give them the light of hope that I now enjoy. Ramen.

Service Leeches

i remember that in my old hall there was a single pioneer sister who lived in the kh basement.

she did not drive, (22 years old) and she was.

such a "spiritual example" .. but now i remember going out in service with the group on a saturday morning, and she would be part of the group that was in my car.. we would do about an hour of service door to door, and then return visits for an hour or two.

I say, the more time spent running errands and taking care of banking and such was LESS time spent on accosting people with dangerous cult conversion techniques....I think it was time well spent.

I posted this here for a reason, to get feedback, and suggestions on how I could make the project better. Since it's syill a work in progress, just about anything can be changed at this point. I was too focussed on trying to be funny and rebelious with this iteration of the magazine cover.

So, how could I show that Helen has more freedom and time to enjoy life without making ex-JWs look bad? IdeaS?
