This link has some excellent information on the WTS stupid blood policy. I had not looked it up until recently when the blood issue hit very close to home. (more on this in a later post) This web site shows pictures of some very beautiful children whose parents followed the WTS policy of no blood. i define a moderate as someone that occasionally disagrees with their party of affiliation and will (and have) crossed party lines to vote.
in short, someone that does not always vote for one party, will criticize their party for errors and occasionally agree with the other side.

Simon, I don't believe Bush ever said it was a massive endorsement. Here in the US the house and senate elections in an "off year" in which there is no presidental election usually yeilds gains for the opposition party, in this case the democrats. This past election year that didn't happen for the first time in my memory. Not a massive endorsement yet, but a step in the right direction.
As far as the vote count is concerned, several newspapers, 3 or 4, cant remember, recounted the votes in the counties Mr Gore wanted them counted in, and Bush won all the recounts, and these were liberal leaning newspapers. Bug

judging by bush's recent comments and the recommendation that the un inspectors leave iraq, it looks like the war will be starting any day now.. i wonder if bush intentionally timed it so that things would be starting on st. patricks day the day that commemorates the saint who drove the snakes from ireland.

How many thousands of children died, because the US Blocked legitimate aid at the iraq border, and the use of depleted uranium in the first gulf war?
If Iraq had not invaded Kuwait and made it the 19th province of Iraq, there wouldn't have been a war. How many thousands died, don't know if any died, as far as I know there have been no studies to back up your claim.
Is it possible to rightfully view people's lives as an "investment" in saving future lives?
Yes, it is possible, however, and I don't like the idea one bit. Having said that, everyone admits Saddam has weapons of mass destruction and he doesn't like the US, to put it mildly. If anyone can reassure me he will not use these weapons against US citizens anywhere, anytime, I'll withdraw my support for this action. Saddam has shown over and over again what he is capable of, and he should be treated as being extremly dangerous.

The pitch is, the big "A" is coming soon and to prove it we can look at how horrible conditions are in the world right now. What they don't point out is the fact the world has never been in perfect condition. The next step is to sell the idea of a paradise earth.
