  Report on news coverage in DALLAS!!!!

  well, all i can say is wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  they have been preparing everyone by way on tv and radio on the sexual abuse in the jw religion.

  they had a small piece on the 6 o'clock news with a small interview with bill bowen.

  I am having a lot of difficulty handling this report, especially the shot of jesika crying. I've broken bread with Jesika, visited with he at length about her treatment at the hands of the congreation and her parents and I have found her to be one of the most sincere individuals I've ever known. The WTBTS can't seem to get it thru their heads that Jesika, Kim Norris, Bill Bowen and the others on the program are not going away. They(WTBTS) need to investigate these allegations and, at the very least apologize and change their idiotic policies. I won't be holding my breath until that happens.

  How did you successfully move on...?

  there are actually some questions at the bottom of this lengthy thesis, however i thought a bit (ha ha) of background might be necessary first:-) .

  some 12months ago after the switch flicked over in my head, i began the challenge of facing my fears head on, which led to breaking through the first mental barriers of the damage done by 22 years (from birth) of indoctrination.. the fear of loosing all i had was insignificant in comparison to denying myself any further what it really meant to be true to myself.

  for the first time, i could honestly attribute that all my mental strength and decisions were of my own accord.

  Hello Vee,

  It seems you have thought through this problem a whole lot better than the rest of us. In fact, I wish you had written that some 20 years ago when I decided to walk. As far as your Mother and Sister are concerned I would maintain contact with them as long they don't force the issue. That's may idea and it may be worth what you paid for it. As far as the elders are concerned, the most important person in all of this knows they have no control over you already, you, and knowledge can be a very powerful tool.

  i have heard much about crooked watchtower lawyers on this site and wondered if anyone had anything to back this up?

  i have my own experience (extremely bad) and was wondering about others.

  It seems to me, with my admittedly limited experience, that lawyers in general do not think in terms of right and wrong, but in terms of win or lose. Is that crooked, dishonest, immoral, or is it just their idea of survival?

  Sirona,

  The only people who have access to what you are thinking or feeling are the ones you want to have access. Those you don't wish to have access to your deepest thoughts are only guessing. Tell them to quit being so concerned about you and perhaps they should worry about themselves.
