Thanks for posting and for the attached link. Scientists can't even agree on rather or not global warming exists or if it does what is causing it. It has become a religion to some people.

Getting Old, Didn't think it would happen to me.
by Undecided inuntill the last year i stayed 50 years old.
now it has finally hit me, i'm getting old.
i never felt my age and could do about any thing without pain or feeling like my body couldn't take it.

I badly want to ring the neck of the guy who came up with the rather stupid idea that these are our "golden years." On the other hand life is worth living in spite of memory problems aches and pains and all the rest that goes along with ageing.
GaryBuss is correct, old folks should be careful on snow and ice and being stuck in the house can be the pits, but we have TV, computers, newspapers books and mags, (Not WT publications) so we have the means to entertain ourselves.

Things YOU eat, that other people think is weird.
by misanthropic inthis mornings events have got me thinking about things.
i love peanut butter, not the sweet kind but i like the old fashioned peanut butter, usually laura scudder's with no sugar or preservatives - it just tastes better imo.
i put it on everything including pancakes which are really good with peanut butter and maple syrup.

Ok, you can get past eating TESTICLES so long as the bull wasn't killed?
I think you missed the point. The issue was rather or not those testicles properly bled as the animal itself was bled out.

LOL! We call 'em "sweet breads" down here in the South, also. Deelish!
I've heard them called that also Frannie. Evidently some folks in the past came up with these creating names to cover up what they were really eating.

Bull testicles, commonly called mountain oysters or calf frys. Not bad if you can get past the thought of where they came from. I often worried if they were properly bled since the calf wasn't killed in the process.

My Bethel Experience Part 15
by new boy inthe courtship from hell.......i started driving up to rhode island in september of 1972. i would go about every other week.
i needed to "step down" as a book study servant, because at the time daryl christianson had come up with this brillant idea that all the book study conductors should visit everyone in their own book studies and everyone in someone else's book studies every 2 months.........so between, bethel, and a part time "g" job, going up to rhode island and shepparding everyone in the book studies, it was just to much.
so for the first time in my life, i declined a "privilege of service"........it didn't feel that bad......and in fact felt damn good.......little did i know i was leaving one hell for another one.. what i 'm about to tell you...........is the absolute truth!..........we had 2 dates in a year and a half........that is two dates in 18 months.........."2" dates...........the only time they would let us be together with out a chaperone was in the field service...........the whole courtship was spent on her parents couch in the living room......with one of them in the other room!

I suppose your inlaws never heard this wisdom: "what goes around, comes around."

My Bethel Experience Part 9
by new boy inthe the worst thing, someone could call you at bethel, was a "jack".............. as in " that guy is a real jack, he doesn't work at all".
the other term not used very much anymore, was "pot licker" used basically the same way.there has been some bad things done at bethel.
you name it, someone has done it...........but the absolute worst possible thing, a bethelite could do is be a theft!
