  jesus' parousia started in 1975, governing body selected as faithful and discreet slave and evil slave dealt with by 1980, armageddon arrives in 2015?.

  it seems to me that some new light needs to be generated if the governing body (gb) of jws is to be considered as the faithful and discreet slave (fds).. .

  (a) gb needs to be around as an entity when selected by jesus during his parousia.

  My brother died tonight

  just got word that my youngest brother died of pancreatic cancer.

  he was diagnosed in early august.

  this has been really tough for me and my family..

  How do you feel about birthdays and Christmas now?

  i wonder...for those of you who were brought up as a jw or who have been "in" for many years, how do you feel about birthdays and christmas and celebrations in general now?.

  the indoctrination/brainwashing is very strong.

  once you are out, or, perhaps, still in but totally disillusioned and sure that it is all a lie, not the truth, do you find that you are determined to celebrate like mad to make up for what you missed, or do you find you have a lingering sense of guilt, however irrational you may now think it is?.

  I think people getting upset about Christmas are funny....Like Witnesses that still allow Umbrellas to be used but they have pagan origins....Christmas has NOTHING IMO to do with Christ;s birthday. To me it is about Santa Claus and watching Rudolph the red nosed reindeer program...And Frosty. I do not include Jesus with it.

  it's nearly 2 months now but mrs punk finally left myself (mentally diseased apostate tm) with my 2 non kingdum hell attending boys.. she left when my jw daughter moved out and they moved in together.

  i don't think it'll be long before my daughter gets sick of her mum but there you go!!.

  i received a call from mrs punk to say: 'i didn't leave you because of the religion!'.

  I am SO glad I do not have family in. I am in a pretty good fade right now and hope it stays that way though. A brother in Atlanta has some very important documents with him that belong to me. I just simply cannot go get them right now. I wonder what he will do if I am ever DFed.

  what do you like as a gift?

  i have absolutely no idea what to make or give my son-in-law for his birthday or for christmas.

  he has all the newest gadgets which i could not afford anyways so i am stumped.. gotta be inexpensive (on a strict budget) and if i can make it all the better.

  I would like it if someone were to buy me the latest Marvel Universe 3 inch figures....But then again I am not like most men...
