I love this site too! I do not comment too often but I read voraciously! I am halfway through the first reading of In Search of Christian Freedom and am kind of wanting to come out of the closet and tell me story and be free of it. I am not quite ready yet.

Jwfacts, Why Do You Equate Miracles With Magic?

as i was reading the sparlock article, i couldn't help but notice something seriously wrong:.
"the bible abounds in vivid fantasy, such as its many celestial descriptions, or the portrayal of warring kingdoms with imaginary beasts.. the sparlock message is confusing, as much for an adult as for a child, as the bible shows that god's followers practice magic, even if they are usually referred to as miracles.

It all comes from one place..
You just blew my mind Outlaw....JW's make the assumption of why didn't God just kill Satan, Adam and Eve right then and start over. Then they say well time had to be allowed for the accusations etc. to do a full turn....BUT....WHY didn't God just depower Satan? Not kill him...Just take away his powers? Using Kryptonite or something.... So in my mind God IS responsible for all of this.

i am also aware that many of these are the same arguments that stemmed from the 'awakenings at bethel' so my statements are not simply attacks of jwfact's character (since these arguments are probably not original) but rather his copy and paste of what others have said instead of verifying it as 'fact' for himself.. so here are jwfacts arguments:.
1. he shows that russell and rutherford (at some point) believed that the great crowd were in heaven.. 2. each term that describes the great crowd of revelation 7 is else used to described the anointed by the wt.

Um Band on the Run does not speak for all of us. Wifey and I read John the entire book and did NOT come away thinking Jesus was fully God and fully Man....We came away with the basics of what Witnesses teach.

I came here as Bane...A staunch witness to educate you all.....Yeah that worked out REALLY well... Yes this site has helped me out quite a bit. What REALLY helps is the actual photo copies of the Awakes and WT's that you guys have. I THANK YOU! From the bottom of my heart. I love to see they really said such things rather than someone just quoting them. It has helped my wife as well. She wants nothing to do with witnesses. I have in my hand Crisis of Conscience and In Search of Christian Freedom. Out standing books!
Wish I could actually MEET some ex witnesses. Being in Mexico I run across none.

"Safeguard Your Mind" assembly targeting apostate thinking
by promised_presence ini recently attended the second day of the 2 day assembly for safeguarding your mind.
the first talk was entitled "feed your mind at jehovah's table".
the first portion of this talk specifically targeted apostates warning members to not listen to them "even if they were once strong in the truth or had great responsiblity in the congregation".
