  i did it 20 years ago, but the elders still remember what i did, sometimes i wish they never knew about it.

  Naw, I just think the good guys are just making sure all their I's are dotted and T's are crossed.

  Personally, I also think they're giving the WTS and their lawyers every chance to make themselves look bad or good; but they're taking the bad bait, 'cause the WTS can't possibly believe they'll lose.

  I was trying to display a self-depreciating sense of humor; I guess I screwed it up (and the "gutter" thing is a subtle sex joke, i.e. dirty-mindedness).

  I've been thinking the Bible isn't legitimate--long indoor mat-rant

  i'm not sure where this thought came from (believers will no doubt say 'from satan'), but it has started to coalesce in my brain lately.

  i've often referred to the bible and argued from it to debunk jw beliefs, and still tried to consider it as a great piece of literature at the very least.

  but as my wife was listening to the meeting on a loud speaker phone at home this weekend, i just had this thought.

  The WTS doesn't really value "smart".

  Unfortunately (or very fortunately, depending on your POV) it causes a brain drain, because the smart ones still "in" often feel like they're living the plot of Idiocracy, and one way or another, eventually feel compelled to leave.

  As time goes on, the WTS will be left with a Worldwide Body of morons.

  BTW, thanks. Although I have to confess that some of my thinking is quite shallow, actually.

  She'll win it. I know you're a lawyer, but have a little faith, yeah?

  And the thing is, she'd never in a million years take credit for the victory; she'd attribute it as a victory for justice and the XJW community, not herself.

  Even money says she'll donate a shit-ton of her court winnings (whatever they turn out to be) to a really effective charity with a solid history of genuine success at helping the victims of sexual abuse, too.

  If I wasn't already married, I'd be totally falling for this woman.

  in view of that they are no more eligible than me to write the watchtower.
