  I get that, but you know what’s weird?

  Whenever I hear sentiments like that, it always reminds me of the museum date scene in Some Kind of Wonderful.

  IMDB quotes Amanda’s confession… “I'd rather be with someone for the wrong reasons then be alone for the right ones” (paraphrasing, but not much)…

  …but Kieth’s simple response is what resonated with me…

  …“I’d rather be right”.

  It wasn’t an ego or knowitall thing… it was an “I’d rather stand alone for the right reasons than live a lie just to be conditionally accepted” thing.

  I never forgot it.

  When I first started fading , I’d already come to realize that evolution had to, in fact, be true (for a number of reasons, actually)…

  …and I inevitably found myself asking, “Gosh, if the WT is wrong about something like that, WTF else are they wrong about???”

  And here I am, now.

  So look at it this way…

  That won’t be lost on any of the rank-and-file who still have half a brain…

  i am sure we were all shocked at the governing body update #2 with the unusual and impulsive changes set forth.. i am an insider at whq, and when i was on reddit and in communication with avoidjw i explained to the best of my ability that the approach on disfellowshipping was going to change based on the new light at the 2023 agm, that the jubilee rumor was false, and there were going to be changes on how jws approached disfellowshipping in response to the norway situation if it didn't turn out in watchtower's favor.

  the decision came because of a legal blow to watchtower, not because "holy spirit" wad directing a faithful slave, who is going to become the "evil slave", more explanation on this soon.. everything i stated came true.

  i left reddit exjw community due to the immature and mentally unstable nature there, and yet as has been the case my words came true.

  And I guarantee you the Org was watching and taking notes, and it absolutely informed their decision-making process.

  i know they're panicking and trying to gain favor with governments, former members, prospective converts & those who are teetering, all for financial worries.

  still, the latest update in some ways made things worse, and if there's any jws watching it who are beginning to wake up it should be very disturbing.. starting with dress codes: they say that suits, ties & skirts are no longer required, but in so doing they admit that they were required, something not often appearing as an explicit command in print.

  (similar to how lett referred to the "policy on beards" in his video, even though this direct policy wasn't made available to rank and file.

  I always hated the self-righteous assholes who tried to play the “stumbling” card every time their nose got out of joint over some poor kid sneaking a beer out behind the tool shed.

  My otherwise devout JW parents nevertheless had a very much “mind your own goddamn business” attitude about that sort of thing, so I came by it honestly.

  Back in the Jaraczic Period, the prospect of being DFed was scary AF, for almost everyone… folks in JCs practically begged not to be.

  These days, though?

  Not so much.

  The threat just doesn’t seem to carry the weight it used to.
