  Questions about WT illustrations

  when i was a kid....i used to look at the wt illustrations of paradise conditions and would day dream about life in the new system....i later used this same technique (shame on me) to brain wash bible students.

  however...as i grew up lol (apparently!

  ) the illustrations changed....and became more modern.

  i couldn't find a "hot takes" thread, and i thought it would be fun to start one up.. for those that may not know, a "hot take" is an opinion that is either uncommon or that usually goes unspoken and would likely garner some controversy, or at least a raised eyebrow, when shared with others.

  it could be something serious or it could be something lighthearted.

  it could also be an opinion that's actually quite popular, but often drowned out by a vocal minority.. anyways, i'll get the ball rolling!.

  The authorities will continue to pay lip service to the concept of tighter borders, but having “illegals” readily available to work for peanuts is just too convenient and profitable to abandon…

  …to the point where some business models are virtually dependent on it.

  And in the US, business interests will always come first.

  Jehovah's Witnesses came by today.

  this morning i was in our front yard sitting down pulling weeds when i saw 3 people slowly walking on the sidewalk in my direction.

  2 of them were young, handsome, clean shaven, wearing nice crisp white shirts and perfectly tailored black slacks.

  they could have been mormons except.... there was a 60ish portly woman wearing a frumpy dress and ugly sandals.

  She was actually alone.

  The two young, handsome, clean-cut guys were obviously her invisible angelic bodyguards, there to make sure you didn’t rape, murder, and cannibalize her - not necessarily in that order - and they only allowed you to see them.

  The (urban) legends are true.
