They told her that it wasn't good enough and that she needed to include what meetings she has gone to, what meetings she missed, what her personal study schedule was, etc..."

  A few letters that weren't "good enough"? Seriously?

  What's next? Bruised and scraped knees and palms? Ashes and sackcloth? Blowjobs at the next elders' meeting?

  If she keeps jumping through those kind of hoops, by the time she gets back "in", she'll feel like hammered shit.

  we've discussed a few potential reasons why the wt is promoting april 2011 as a month of special activity.

  reasons include manipulating statistics, and trying to provide some kind of spark to increasingly apathetic and discouraged congregations.

  i'm sure there are others i'm missing too, feel free to include those.

  the darth plagueis soap opera is already winding down.

  the hapless plagueis, it seems, said some naughty words that contravened the posting guidelines and he has brought down on his head the wrath of the owner and his moderators.

  regardless, this is not about the benevolent dictatorship that is jwn but about standards of behaviour, permissiveness and tolerance and what, exactly, causes offense.

  i've heard the statement from bible apologists so many times that the global flood story of genesis was not a global flood but was probably a local flood.

  this seems problematic.. this directly disagrees with the bible.

  everywhere the bible internally references a global flood of worldwide scale (i'll throw in matthew 24:39 as a nt example and genesis 6:17 as a ot example.

  i was reading this debate this morning (decent arguments on both sides and an overall respectful demeanor):.

  ok so my husband and i were watching tv the other night and some college kids for the local area come on asking for blood for the local blood drive.

  they were saying help save lives by giving you blood.. my husband speaks up and says what a lie they are telling to people.

  i just wanted to scream but instead, i asked my husband where the blood fractions he has ok'ed on his durable power of attorney comes from.

What I know is that something is wrong in this religion but I don't know exactly what or who- are there some members who are not ok, some at the top of the organisation or is is just me...."
