If you regularly use the word "pioneer" as a verb...
...you might be a Jehovah's Witness.
here is a list i've started...but hope will be added to.. .
you know you are in the wrong religion when:.
1. the all important question is not: "do you believe in the lord jesus christ?"....but....
If you regularly use the word "pioneer" as a verb...

watchtower switching horses?.
today i uploaded a new article addressing the de-emphasis of charles taze russell sensed at watchtowers recent annual meeting.
it turns out that pictures tell a story.
Phizzy - "...puts the spotlight on to Rutherford..."
Yeah, no way that's ever gonna end up backfiring...

ldrnomo - "Watch out Judge, your the next one to get flushed by the New JW Org."
Can't say the guy wouldn't deserve it.
this year my wife, kids and i are celebrating christmas and birthdays for the first time.
having been a born-in, i was raised to believe that these events were not only pagan in origin, but also self-promoting and greedy.
what i have learned as the year as progressed and as christmas gets closer is quite the opposite.. as it turns out, my wife and i never learned how to give gifts and to shop for other people, neither have my kids.
Phizzy - "The miserable WT/JW leaders do not want their worshippers to be happy..."
No authoritarian leader truly does.
A happy, contented populace puts far less effort to advancing the leadership's agenda than an anxious, trigger-happy army. It's the same reason authoritarian regimes (religious or otherwise) have historically disliked liberal sexuality.
In addition, "discouraging" birthdays, Christmas, etc. has been extremely effective in socially alienating JWs from non-JW friends and relatives.
i've been giving some thought recently to what's going on in the minds of the individual governing body members, and what makes them tick.
the process of listening to their talks for my "getting to know you" youtube video series, though draining, has been very enlightening.
i now feel i know some of their individual personalities a little better than i did previously.. then there has been the tumultuous events of 2012. it's been interesting to note the way the governing body has responded to some of these issues, and how in most cases their responses have been woefully inadequate or even counter-productive as regards their long-term interests.. for example:.
Phizzy - "I also hold the belief that behind the GB the Legal Dept and the Heavies on the Writing Comm. and people of that ilk have a great influence on doctrine change when it becomes necessary..."
Maybe before Jaracz. Not anymore, though: http://www.freeminds.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2350:was-there-a-rift-within-watch-tower-walls-in-2001&catid=70:musings-of-barbara-anderson&Itemid=592
Gotta go. Work.

Not under Ratz's watch.
That guy seriously gives me pause.
Frankly, if I had to choose between him and Emperor Palpatine, I'd have to think loooooooooong and hard.
BTW, ever notice how similar they look? http://www.myspace.com/gaygeekno1/photos/689191#%7B%22ImageId%22%3A689191%7D

ziddina - "Time will tell, whether the Catholic Church is serious about solving the problem."
Does Ratzinger seem to you like a guy willing to overhaul a centuries-old policy to solve a problem?
Don't get your hopes up.
it went as expected.
i had multiple opportunities to pounce on their inconsistencies....but i refrained.
because i was recording it.
It was considerably easier with me, since my wife was always inactive; I simply applied what the Jesuits used to say ("give me a child until he is seven and I will give you the man)", but applied it backwards.
My kids had very little contact with JWs (with the exception of my mother) during those formative years, so none of the ideology has really had a chance to sink in. And I always ask them "what do you think?"
I'm not too worried about 'em.

Well said, Cedars.
You're right; everything the GB says and does indicates that they are full-on True Believers who have complete conviction in everything they say. It's been their greatest strength, but it's becoming their greatest weakness.
Funny how back in the day, the WTS would only pick a fight they knew they had a chance of winning. I guess too much success fools you into thinking that you're entitled to success.
BTW, have you considered this: http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/239770/2/Well-I-talked-with-two-active-JWs-about-the-latest-understanding-of-the-F-DS (last post I made on the page)?
...hello folks.... ...i've read countless of posts, ideas, opinions, etc here and i'm interested in your response.... ...there is a whole gamut of feelings here from individuals that are simply annoyed with the wt organization, to those that come off as hellbent on putting the org out of comission.... ...others yet seem to have made it their mission in life to eradicate the concept of god himself.... ...to any of these, what is your motivation?
and do you ever doubt that these efforts are futile?
do you feel that you posses the power/ability/means to change the convictions/faiths of the masses?
Joe Grundy - "Again, feedback suggests that those efforts were not futile."
Amen, officer.
Sorry to hear about your daughter (I have two). You and your mates catch the guy?
