Whoops, that was meant to be a smartass response to astroblema’s post.
Timing was off, my bad.

i am sure we were all shocked at the governing body update #2 with the unusual and impulsive changes set forth.. i am an insider at whq, and when i was on reddit and in communication with avoidjw i explained to the best of my ability that the approach on disfellowshipping was going to change based on the new light at the 2023 agm, that the jubilee rumor was false, and there were going to be changes on how jws approached disfellowshipping in response to the norway situation if it didn't turn out in watchtower's favor.
the decision came because of a legal blow to watchtower, not because "holy spirit" wad directing a faithful slave, who is going to become the "evil slave", more explanation on this soon.. everything i stated came true.
i left reddit exjw community due to the immature and mentally unstable nature there, and yet as has been the case my words came true.

one theory why tony was booted out was because he was a stickler for not changing the shunning doctrine.
he actually said the words we will never ever change it.. they are slowly deleting all of tony’s videos and now losing court cases and losing government hand outs in places like norway.. it’s looking very likely they will release new light on shunning policy after losing this latest one in norway.. .
what are the odds they coincidentally get new light from jehovah and lighten up their shunning policy ?.
redsetter2 - “Tony's departure was a very small part of this. He knew these changes were going to happen anyway, he was simply trying to slow down the changes.”
Huh.
In light of all those incendiary comments he’d made over the years, most of us here figured he’d been angrily and stubbornly blocking the supermajority vote needed to implement the reforms, and was refusing to budge.
If he really just had misgivings at the speed of their implementation, that suggests a much more level-headed stance than we thought…
…because IMO, that speed is indeed fucking bonkers.
I can barely imagine any scenario where it doesn’t all end in a hot mess.

Why didn’t you sent a PM?
It might have been easier.

NotFormer - “… disfellowshipped are treated better than disassociated?”
On paper?
No.
In practice?
Abso-fucking-lutely.
DAs are - except in rare occasions - “apostates”…
…who are now Satan’s little helpers.
Condemned murderers on death row would get preached to before a voluntarily DAed XJW.
there's been a lot of discussion about the changes in the org.
you might think all this would shake things up, especially for the older or super dedicated jws.
but remember when gb decided all the khs and the bank accounts needed to be transferred/managed from the top?
ThomasMore - “…JWs are already beginning to devour one another with criticism…”
And we thought it was a trainwreck in the making before all this crap.
When I take my over-90-year-old JW mom to the memorial, I wanna shave my beard and wear a tie, just to see WTF happens.

introduction:.
the perception of jesus christ's divinity has been a subject of theological debate for centuries.
peacefulpete - “Anyone who has asked AI to answer a controversial question learns quickly that it just regurgitates the information from popular websites. There is no evaluation of accuracy or objectivity. Garbage. Nothing to do with left or right. It's just repeating crap, often contradictory answers in same response.”
I concur.
Whoever has queried AI to respond to an uncomfortable query discover quite rapidly that it simply repeats the data from singular webpages. There is no consideration of facts or nuance. Trash. No connection to up or down. It's simply reiterating shit, often antithetical non-solutions in similar regard.
you heard me correct, this is not a joke, and it is not april fools day!
the asl portion of the governing body updated #2 (march 2024) has been released a bit early and someone caught it.

Or maybe they thought it through quite thoroughly.
Remember the bit about not giving any more shit to JW women who marry non-JW men?
And more importantly, why?

redsetter2 - “… The Revelation prophecies and Isaiah and Daniel prophecies will be completely rebranded and diluted to refer to more ‘faith strengthening’ lessons on how Jehovah would help his people during the Last Days and into the 1000 year reign of Christ…”
That’s… kinda believable, actually…
…Fred Franz’s old Cold-War-centric End-Times narrative has gotten pretty dated (and all but logistically impossible at this point), and we’ve actually heard rumblings about some CO palaver down in Florida to go over upcoming changes to WT eschatology.
It does make me wonder just how and where they’d find someone with the creative chops to pull it off, though.
