Is it only Elders that can baptise a JW ? Can a MS or any male publisher ? Just reading the other thread on baptizing in the name of the father the son and the holy spirit. I just thought how easy it would be to just say those words each time they baptized someone.....how hard is that ? If they let male publishers baptise.........well I guess it's not as important as handleing the mikes at the hall,

Steven Unthank: What do we really know?
by SweetBabyCheezits ini'm gonna play the skeptic today on a topic that is painful for a lot of people on this forum.
my intent is not to stir anything up but to make sure facts are confirmed.
bear in mind, i'm sickened by the wt's role (and the heirarchy down to elders) in child molestation cover-ups.

If Barbara says Steve is legit , well I'm willing to believe it was just a language misunderstanding. He did take it down ,and explained his thoughts . He addressed the problem in a timely manner. On the other hand I think it's great that people question things and will not let anything they see that could be false, slide.. No ,that will NOT happen on JWN ! That's a good thing. Please Barbara, keep posting.
Make sure of all things............IMO 99% of JWN love you Barbara ! Maybe only 89% love Steave LOL

Rick Fearon should apologise for accusing faders of being cowards
by cedars ini hate doing this type of thread.
none of us are perfect, least of all myself, and i would rather focus any criticism on the watch tower society for damaging people's lives.
however, in the short period since i've been a member of this forum i've noticed one member in particular deteriorate in his behaviour into the type of individual who threatens to undermine the credibility of the entire website.

Were You In A Constant State Of Worry As A Witness?
by minimus inlooking back, did you find yourself always worried about what was going to happen to you if you made a mistake or you even exercised your own "bible trained conscience"?.

Not so much worried.....on a day to day bases.. But I pretty much knew I would be dead at the big A. I had a FEAR of dieing at 21 yrs. ( 1975 ). Felt that way from age 6 or 7, that I wasn't good enough.
So I wanted to have all the life I could have NOW.....Marriage,baby, and lots of FUN and PARTIES.....I rememer one day, sleeping in bed, the window was open and I was awakened by rain. My bed was far away from the window and it was raining on me.. I got up , went to the front door, opened it up......the sky was all GREEN....the sun was shining...and it was raining like crazy. It was so windy that it took all my strenth to close the door. I thought to myself.....Well here it is, the big A . I wasn't as scared as I thought I would be... A little scared but more like ok here we go... This was around 1976. I have never seen weather quite like that since. After that I didn't have as much fear as before........... I did grow up with fear and guilt !......I guess I was good at pushing the worrys aside by keeping busy busy busy living life to the full, and refuseing to worry about something out of my control. Now I look back and laugh at myself.....I laugh alot...It keeps me sane lol lol.. But it still pisses me off that all the FEAR and GUILT was for no reason and it did not have to be that way.........If only I wasn't a born in

3/15 WT- " Forget the Good Times you had Prior to being JW - Can't .........
by flipper in.......... trust your mind !
" yes, they actually said this in a wt study article entitled, " do not look at the things behind " .
i swear the wt society writers and leaders are getting even more controlling and manipulative !

Just reminds me of (I think it was the book Sign Of The Last Days ). They talk about how people DO look at the past as the good old days. Everything was soooo wonderful, no crime, leaving doors unlocked ect. ect..........Then it brings out the reality.........people even eating their own children....and on and on.......the GB is agreeing that the good old days weren't THAT good, but that's not what they say in OTHER articles.......crime is on the rise (NOT )........things are worse than ever, times are bad bad BAD. Before 1914 times were sooooooo good. right... lol........Another case of speaking from both sides of their mouth.
The bottom line is don't think......Only we can think.......Think only what we tell you to think. If we tell you past times were great....think that.......If we say your past times weren't great, Think that.
Just keep saying it.........Life before being a JW was horrible....I am now happy, I am now happy, I am now happy....happy.....happy ....happppppppy la la la la

Thoughts and Opinions on the VAA?
by arko_n9ne inas i've posted multiple times before, i am new to many of the aspects of wts scandals so a couple weeks ago, i was on youtube and heard of a group concept from tim kilgore called the vaa (vast apostate army).. personally, i like the concept of former witnesses and anti-watchtower proponents uniting to stand against the wrong doings of the organization.
i would like their rally in a few years to succeed.
if things look promising enough, i more than likely will go.. but honestly, i don't know much about the vaa, and since it's not a concept with that "new car smell" i imagine people have more infor to offer.. i saw on older posts that witnesses are not fans of the idea of anyone banding together en masse against them, as they go to the lengths of calling the vaa a terrorist organization (though no acts of violence or tyranny have been committed or threatened).. so if anyone can offer insight into this group, it would help a man know if it's a group worth rallying with.. .
