Why is it I'm not surprised that they failed to mention that J.F. Rutherford banned singing at meetings? Only after he died did singing return. The JW's just obeyed as they were told. Just a little extra evidence that JW's are in a cult and blindly follow whatever they are told by the leadership regardless if it's based on the bible or not.

Singing todays WT
by road to nowhere inthe jist was that we all should sing.
then the first 6 or 8 paragraphs describe how early bible accounts have trained and set aside musicians to do the singing while everyone else listened.. the songs they have put out have no soul, rhythm, or soothing melodies as a whole.
the old hymns are some real music, even if you don't agree with the "teachings".. there is no admission of poetry using archaic language at times for affect or to add to the rhyme, they have to have everything agree with the grey bible.. anyone speak foreign languages?

by Steel inwell , not really.. our hall recently had a secret collection for our head elder who is almost on the verge of becoming homeless.
i guess he lost some cleaning contracts because his clients were just sick of his no shows because of his pioneer work.
there is always something more important to do than earn a living.. this is the same assholes he is always shaming people to not doing enough.

If a person were to take literally all the b.s. the Governing Body says, no one would get married, have children, have health insurance, savings account, no life insurance, no house, no decent car......no life! To be a happy as a JW, you must learn the secret to ignore their unreasonable demands of your time and life.
No one will verbally admit to doing this but that's the key to survive as a JW and have the little life left in you if leaving the cult completely is not possible.
The elder you mentioned did not know this secret and instead followed the GB word as coming from god. The GB lives in a 5 star resort, have access to healthcare, housekeeping, green handshakes (non taxable), transportation, vacations and the adulation and control of over 8 million brainwashed cult followers. Yet they use guilt and fear to keep their members from enjoying life.

Why the 2 witnesses rule is not worth attacking........barking up the wrong tree!
by krismalone insome former jw protesters are wasting their time and energy "exposing" or criticizing the watchtowers 2 witness rule here's why:.
lets suppose the governing body changes this and expells anyone accused of child molestation even if accused by one person.
would that solve the problem?

What action do you think protects children?
01.) Having a judicial committee expell a pedophile accused by one person (as many ex JW protested) and in a year he's back to prey in the congregation as no one is aware of his depraved crimes while never spending a second in jail or.........
02.) Have a pedophile locked up in prison 20 yrs and registered as a sex offender.
The WT judicial process is a joke. It has no bearing in protecting anyone. Everything is kept secret from the congregation and community. You have people protesting this 2 witness rule as if the WT judicial process actually protects people and is desperately needed for the benefit of the children. They're barking up the wrong tree. The authorities need to be called in All cases of child molestation allegations and made public when confirmed and attach to that prison time. That's what really protects children and not some cult that needs 2 witnesses to expell someone that committed something that no one will ever know about much less serve any prison time.

Lets suppose the Governing Body changes this and expells anyone accused of child molestation even if accused by one person. Would that solve the problem? Would the community and congregation be safe?
NOT AT ALL!!
Why not?
01.) The pedophile would just be reinstated within a year or so.
02.) No one in the Congregation is ever warned or given the reason for the disfellowshipping
03.) Victims are prohibited from warning others.
04.) The police are not called even if required by law (Stephanie Fessler, Gonzalo Campos)
05.) Victims and family are discouraged from calling police.
06.) Elders are instructed NOT to cooperate with authorities to help encarcerate a pedophile even under court order or subpoena. They become complicit to pedophilia under the ecclesiastical privilege.
So if we really think about it, what good is it if the WT expelled pedophiles with only 1 accuser when his depravity and crime is kept hidden from the law, congregation and community and within a year he is back in the congregation with unsupervised access to children?
What needs to be exposed is how they refuse to turn in the database of pedophiles and how they're being fined $4,000.00. They need to be exposed how they refuse to call police. They need to be exposed how they ignore subpoenas to testify and cooperate with authorities to encarcerate pedophiles. They need to be exposed on how they disfellowship victims that warn others about the molester.

Perris, California mid 90's spirit appointed presiding overseer in the Spanish hall who is married and has 2 girls adopts a 14 year old girl.
After a couple of years, the adopted girl gets pregnant and the presiding overseer tells his ass kissing yes men elders that she was raped and meeting with her would only traumatize her more. So elders do not investigate. When the baby is born, she looks exactly as the spirit anointed presiding overseer elder. Congregation and circuit start to talk but no investigation is done as the yes men elders are obeying the theocratic order by submitting to the presiding overseer.
2 elders move to the congregation and start to rock the boat and demand an investigation. The spirit appointed presiding overseer and his yes men elders start to harass these two elders and even attack them and their families from the platform. They are eventually removed for not working in harmony with the body of elders and having bad judgment.
Eventually the young adopted girl now adult, confesses to their deeds and both her and the spirit anointed presiding overseer elder are expelled. He divorces his wife and marries his step daughter. No one called the police. The spirit anointed presiding overseer name is Jose Tejada and his step daughter now wife is Carmen Tejada.
The body of elders said they were just following directions from the presiding overseer and that's why they removed the 2 elders who wanted to investigate the matter.
When you have a cult constantly telling the membership to obey, respect and submit to theocratic authority and never take any action or speak against elders, you produce an immoral atmosphere where those in power are above the law and can get away with sins and crime in this case.

Technically speaking, you won't be dfd for having different beliefs or for disagreeing with the GB... AS LONG AS YOU KEEP THOSE BELIEFS TO YOURSELF!!! (Proclaimers p. 628)
The moment you discusss your new beliefs with anyone in the WT cult, you are "causing divisions" and will be dfd. JW facts had a c.o. write to the branch about him (Paul Grundy) and the C.O. wrote that disbelief is not a dfing offense. A former D.O. from Australia, that stopped believing in the bible and became inactive was never dfd because he never spoke to others about his beliefs or better said he never spoke bad about the WT corporation (he had posted here yrs ago).
If you really want to irritate the elders, just fade .....that way they cannot label you a mentally diseased apostate. Just stop going to meetings and stop knocking on empty doors. If anyone asks, just tell them you cannot discuss it as you will be dfd. Another option, although somewhat risky is to tell those asking that you are waiting to see if the GB will turn in the pedophile database and apologize for protecting child molesters before you return to the KH and knocking on empty doors. You can also say I'm waiting for the GB to change the belief about..........(you fill in the blank)

This interview has a wealth of revealing information coming from the mouth of an Attorney who worked in the Watchtower's legal department.
It's unfortunate that it has only 1800 views.

If You Question The Governing Body, You're Like Korah
by pale.emperor inanyone who questions the governing bodys authority is labelled as an apostate and almost always they bring up the story of korah and his revolt against moses.. watchtower august 1st, 2002, the article loyally submit to godly authority paragraphs 8-15.. https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/2002563.
in not so subtle hint, the gb likens themselves to moses, and those who disagree with the gb are korah.. paragraph 15 is actually quite damaging to the gb's argument though:.
it was so unnecessary for all those people to lose their lives.

No mention of how much money the Governing Body will send immediately to help the victims?
