Seriously.... Something has to be done.
by DATA-DOG ini am aware of the constant debate about whether or not to confront jws, because they will merely retreat behind their persecution complex.
well, i say, "bull shit!
religitards, as in the case of the recent paris attacks, ( yes, the jws are equal to those terrorists, is so much as they perpetuate lies that ultimately retard the progress of mankind), must be challenged without remorse, as their assertions are made without remorse for those who are forever scarred by their lies.

Sieze the day! I had cards made up with jwfacts and other websites on it.
The card says "be ready the next time Jehovah's Witnesses call!"
I put them everywhere, doctors waiting rooms, bulitan boards, restaurants and stores.
I never pas up an opportunity to unwitness. I belong up JWs every chance I get and educate people what they are really like.

Are we participants in this forum because of bouts of "loneliness"?
by Wonderment ini wonder how many of us here hold on to this meeting place out of "loneliness.
could it be that we harbor feelings of "abandonment" and "loneliness" from being left cold and dry by the wt people and our families?
perhaps we do have a need to reach out to people with similar experiences.

When I left 5 years ago, this site saved my sanity. I spent hours a day researching topics and found solace here.
I was helped to see that I did the right thing by leaving.
I remain here because I now want to lend support to others who may need my encouragement and extensive background of being a JW from infancy to age 57.
My daughter was raised in and is still an active JW and is shunning me. I appreciate keeping abreast of what is going on in the crazy, crazy JW world so I can know what is happening in her life. Should the opportunity present itself for me to help an active JW, I feel I need to keep up with the latest BS they are serving at what they call the proper time.
This site is wonderful and I sing its praises!

Is this a BEAUTIFUL STORY--or what?
by Terry inis this a beautiful story, or what?.
act one________.
now in an ordinary romance of the golden hollywood era, the boy goes off to war while the young lady waits nervously for his safe return.in a cary grant, debra kerr movie, the two vow to meet after a certain period of time and tragic circumstances intervene.. in my story, the young man is a conscientious objector who goes to prison instead of off to the vietnam war.

I am surprised they canceled meetings and field service. This seems like an opportunity for them to attract converts while they are vulnerable. -

My fade might well start today.
by StarTrekAngel inmany here whom have read my previous posts know more or less my situation.
wife is not hardcore but we still bump heads from time to time.
if it wasn't for this cult, and while it was not an issue, we had an almost perfect marriage.

Since your wife has agreed to disagree, that is a good start. Do keep a firm interest on your children so they do not get indoctrinated into this dangerous cult. -

Latest and greatest from Warwick
by Warwickslave injust received two emails .
recently, it was announced that the warwick whq project will be completed by september 1, 2016. with a little less than 10 months left to go on the project, the construction project committee recently met with representatives from all eleven warwick construction groups throughout the u.s. the purpose of this meeting was to determine what can be done to more effectively continue the wonderful progress being made.
as a result, it has been determined that, for the duration of the project, all warwick construction groups will focus on sending experienced, skilled tradespersons who have regularly worked in their trade(s)in a secular environment.

Brooklyn Bethel Tours Through The Roof
by freemindfade inwas speaking with someone last night who just recently toured the us bethel's.
the brooklyn tour i heard was awful, very limited and disappointing and conducted by a local pioneer and not even a bethelite.
well from what they are telling the folks on the tour since the tm3 bit encouraging (guilting) people about going to disneyland on vacation when you haven't visited bethel, monthly tours went from 6000 to 16000!

They must be thrilled. When we went about 7 years ago, we literally emptied out our wallets into the contribution box. They are loving the donations, I bet. -

Our assembly expenses were $16,900 for ONE DAY - Please share yours
by nmthinker in~2300 in attendance.
one day cost of $16,900!.
this was at romeoville, which was built ground up in the 90's and was fully paid for by the illinois circuits!.

I used to attend that assembly hall in Romeoville, IL. I thought the building was too commercial looking. It is gigantic and has a big outdoor area that is very high maintenance. No wonder the expenses are so high. Whoever set that assembly hall up definitely didn't keep their "eye simple." This seemed like a waste of "dedicated funds" to me at the time, even though I was still deeply into the org.
