My mistake on his board membership. I see clearly now that the first member in the list is: "Myself".
I'm glad to hear, based on your insinuation, that the possibility exists for a name change. Again, best wishes to all of you.

@Lady Lee
What is Cedars actual legal involvement in the group since he is not a board member? Why is he the only one who seems to have control over the name of the group? I like the idea of this group for sure, and I can't imagine all the work and effort that has gone into this, but I am with many here who are concerned about the name. Why are our concerns about this particular matter invalid? No one seems to be answering this question other than what basically amounts to "because I said so," from Cedars.
I understand Cedars' comments about the need to stay on course in order to be taken seriously, but the group is only 3 days old. If a name change is a valid consideration, isn't it worth discussing and implementing now?
Best of luck to all of you, really. I am curious to see where this leads.
i've just been watching a youtube video that reveals the new assembly hall in orangeburg, sc.. two things struck me when watching it.... firstly, everything is attributed to jehovah, right down to deciding the location where the hall is to be built.
"we examined over 300 properties," said one interviewee, "we were reminded that jehovah knew where the site was, we just had to keep looking and show him that we were persistent.
" other workers interviewed throughout the video attribute everything to god, as though it is impossible to build anything without divine direction.. here is the video.... .

i found this essay today.
it reminds me of obama's first national speech when he pleaded for dems not to let right wing gop fundies define christianity.. how do you create a clickable link in chrome?.
You're being dishonest Sab, if you mean to imply you have a better reason.
how would you summarise each of these books?.
which would you recommend to a jw to read first?.
Well, Crisis of Conscience is more about Ray's personal story, the inner workings of the GB, and the scandals that went on which led him to resign. In Search of Christian Freedom is a much longer book that examines many of the controversial doctrines of Jehovah's Witnesses and offers reasonable alternative explinations to them. I personally enjoyed ISOCF much more than the first book, but it's a tome.
from the official jw website.... .
school shooting in connecticutdecember 17, 2012 | united states.
on friday, december 14, 2012, a shooting took place at an elementary school in newtown, connecticut.
"Jehovah’s Witnesses in the area are offering assistance and spiritual comfort to the families and communities affected by this tragedy."
That's a lie. They are just going in service as they normally do and using the hype surrounding the story to try and manipulate people into studying The Bible with them.
hi guys,.
i was asked to give final prayer today after the field service meeting.
i asked for jah to bless and comfort the families of the newtown, ct massacre.

it is snowing here.
we have our 2.5 yr old grand baby, emma, with us for a few days.
it was nap time so i wrapped her up in a fleece and we sat down in my big rocker/recliner.
no, that's not a line from a rude film.
it's the title of a brief article on page 3 of the latest february 2013 kingdom ministry, which reads as follows... .
"when sharing in field service, some publishers customarily stop at a certain time, perhaps at noon.
The zealous people who would have a late return visit that kept us out past 12 always drove me nuts.
