I recently acquired a Macbook Pro w/ Retina, 15" (The $2500 one) and it is FABULOUS. It only took me a day to get used to the track pad style. I've tried using a mouse with it the last couple of days and am finding I actually prefer using the pad (because of the gestures). It's simpler and makes for a more enjoyable user experience.

Mac Book Pro with Retina or Dell XPS 15? (both with new Haswell processors)
by Simon ini've been in need of a new laptop for a long time.
no, i mean it - a really long time.
the old dell that we have has a floppy lid and is woefully underpowered although it does build up my upper body strength every time i pick it up.. the last 6 months has been a bad time to buy something new though with the haswell processors on the horizon promising better battery life and also screen technology seems to have been leaping ahead recently to a new hi-dpi standard.. so apple finally released their mac book pro and at the same time dell has released an xps 15 ultrabook which looks like a pretty good alternative and probably better 'value'.. pro's and con's?

Most of the Republicans I know are thrilled about this mess. They will rabidly dig their heels in and support whatever the GOP does. For as much as we should all understand the us vs. them mentality, I wonder why we are surprised about any of this.

Kind of amusing really reading these long-winded posts from Cedars about how great their launch was when really he's not even legally on the board or president, etc.
My gut told me there was something wrong with this, but Lady Lee just slapped me down when I brought it up. I couldn't understand how he could be on the board LEGALLY as it would sacrafice his anonymity. I didn't realize he actually registered under his alias. That seems like such an elementary mistake.

i`ve spent the morning and part of my afternoon... getting to the bottom of... why names were added to the awaa fan page... it`s a dangerous thing to happen in our world... faders can be outed,we can lose,family,friends... the results can be an absolute disaster... .

Plus there is spin and then there is spin. What cedars has written on the AAWA page is a good lesson in self esteem building and in not allowing mistakes and negativity to get one down so low that one cannot get up. In a balanced way he also addressed all of the issues (mine anyway) in an honest manner and did not employ the sort of spin the WT uses.
