Anyone catch the history channel this morning on Egyptian Hieroglyphs and Doomsday?
by sinis inthey started talking about archeologists in the last 1800's that believed that the pyramids were a key to the future by measuring the passageways of the great pyramid of giza - this method is called the "pyramid inch".
anyways, they supposedly could foretell 1914, 2001 (9/11), etc.. as soon as they mentioned 1914 it caught my attention.
after all, is this not how the wts originally came up with the year 1914????

I didn't watch that channel just can't get it. I will say if you want to learn more about the Egyptians get the Egyptian Hieroglyphic Dictionary written by: Sir E.A. Wallis Budge. There are two volumes of it. He also wrote many many books about the beliefs of the Egyptians. He showed how the Jews got their belief system from the Egyptians Book of the Dead. He even quotes many scriptures and sh They wanted to please God so much so they could be with him in the after life. The way I understand from Sir Wallis Budges books that they actually didn't worship the statutes they made. The statutes represented the different strengths that God had. That is what they thought of when they were worshiping.

How often do disassociated people go back to the organization?
by SEL ina friend disassociated in order to get divorced, hoping not to get disfellowshipped.
some time later, he has a serious non-jw girlfriend whom he'll probably end up marrying.
the thing is, he didn't disassociate because he no longer believed the wt doctrines.

I had a cousin that was dsf'd for about 30yrs. Was married several times and wanted to go back. He found a woman that would accept the JW's belief, then he married her & then she studied & became a witness and he was reinstated. By him marrying her first they couldn't tell her not to be around him. He had it all planned out and it worked out like he wanted. I guess you'd say he worked the system. Ha

the prodfers as i just named them, are advovates of the policy and believe that it churns out, once the offender returns through the system in place, very "spiritual" people.. think about this process and figure out what the desired result the originator of the policy was:.
the subject is acused of a "high end sin" (requires the quantification of sin).if subject has been viewed by two or more witnesses a private hearing is formed with a panel of three elders.the subject is interogated by the panel of elders and information is gathered using policies from a secret elder handbook.

I was disassociated when I told my dad that I wasn't going back to the KH. At the time I was subcontracting cleaning job from him. I gave him a two weeks notice and he threw the money he owed me and told me I need not come back. The elders were even sent out on the job to talk to me when I was working. I told the dispatcher to telll them I was busy and couldn't talk. that was on a Mon. and on Thurs. I know is when they read the letter about me. I never went to any (interrigation meetings) always said I wouldn't. I was in for 32yrs. been out 29yrs and don't miss it any. I did however go back to a congregation a ways from me just after song. Someone stepted over & gave me a WT. but soon as they started to sing the last song I got up & left. I didn't want to be ask all the questions that are ask when someone new comes in to the meeting.

I never did like all the rules. My father was a very strick elder and presiding elder. My family lived next door to my parents when they dissassociated me they sold their home and moved 30miles away so they wouldn't be close to us. My dad was killed in auto. accident and almost killed my mother. About a month before the accident my dad did barely say hello, but that was all. I told him I would always speak to him. He was a good dad to me and did teach good principles to me. They both did. I had to help take care of my mother as she had multiplemyeloma (bone cancer all over her body) When she passed I arranged a witness funeral for her. The guy that studied with them in 1951 is the one that did both of their funerals. At one time there were 40 relatives that shuned me. Its not fun but I went on with my life. My dad said I would be all by myself. I found a church and went reg. so when they had their accident I had those people. I don't go at this point but those people were there for me when it meant something. I wasn't all by myself. That is what the society wants to ingrain in witness minds if they are disf'd so they think that is what will happen. There are lots of people that are very good honest people. You just have to get acquainted with them.

Its good that everyone has the privilege and freedom to believe the way they want. I'm not trying to convience anyone of anything. I do know what my husband , son, and other friends and myself saw back in 1982. It was about 1/2 mile from our house. There were 4 UFO all in formation leaving our area. There was even an article in our little paper about it the next day.

DO WE NEED TO BELONG TO A RELIGION TO BE A "SPIRITUAL PERSON"?
by foodalls ini have been noticing people posting on this site have a "deep" spiritual desire, but don't quite know how to find it, or where it is at.. this beg the question...do we need to be involved with a "religion" to find "spirituality"...especially an "organized religion"???.
anyone that has there eyes open can see that all religion is loosing their influence over people around the world...i spent 47 years thinking i was in the "truth" being one of jw's!
and now that i am out...and looking back from the "outside"...all i see is that its just another religion...filled with all the "control-grid" stuff found in any other group.. worse yet...they are worse than other religions...so it begs an answer..is there such thing as a "true religion"???.

I know Foodalls, he is not a kid. He is serious about this. I met him on another exjw site. We have been friends for a long time.
As far as UFO's my husband , son & other friends & myself have personally seen them. They were about 1/2 mile from where we live. There is said to be an Underground Base under the town that we live close too. As far as being in religion to be spiritual, no I don't believe you have to be in a church or organization to be spiritual. Some people are naturally spiritual minded and others don't really care. They are happy the way things are.

I read last night that the little town where we live has a underground base that is active. I have heard the the Oklahoma City Bombing had tunnels way down and had a lot of wepons. I know u can read a lot but there is some evidence I'm told.
