The reason I came up with this subject was many years ago in our area we would tell people at the door if the whole world was a Jehovahs Witness we would have a better world. Now I know better. Was the 1812 declaration of war on the British empire wrong

why are the british always depicted as an evil empire, when in 1812 james madison declared war, the british were defending native american rights, and although the eventual ceasefire was signed in gwent belgium in 1814, and both sides declared victory the only losers were the original owners of the land, displaced onto reservations, the native americans, not much of that in hollywood movies, i'm sorry if i'm being provocative, i'm just not getting many posters on any of my threads, lol!.

Like all world powers and world powers to be, war is the only solution. After all war means We Are Right. The founding of the U.S. and it becoming a future world power started with slavery, drugs (tobacco) and genocide (navtive americans). I know that seems to be a harsh statement but the reality of it all is thats what happen. Was the 1812 declaration of war on the British empire wrong? We can read all the history books there are on the subject but if we did not live it and experience what was going on around those people of that time. Then we will never know the correct answer to that question. I do love learning history. We are what we are today by what happen many years ago. Good thread. Totally ADD

They showed him walking with this device on to receive his college diploma. It truly was a bad thing happing to a young man and with great help from others and his determination to do what was right he was able to turn his life around.
What would have happen if everybody was a JW's in the world and this would have happen to someone? What inventions and advancement would have taken place in this world if everybocy was a JW's. My wife and I have aready come up with many answers to these questions. I am now opening it up to all of you. Please have fun with this. Totally ADD

for this i apologise.
the main reason for my reticence is that being a second generation born in but having been baptised in the 50s i will find it difficult to make an introduction without giving the game away.

Welcome Slidin Fast. I to remember 1975. And many other things you talk about. I was baptized in 1970 at 16 and have lived through many teaching changes. I wish you well. Use this site to vent your feelings. Also use your vast experience in the cult to help all of us to make sense of what happen to our lifes in the cult. All of this will help you to emotional and spiritually heal. I use to say there is a reason why witnesses don't own guns. I quess my new saying should be there is a reason why ex witnesses don't own guns. You will find in time ways to be finally free of this cult. Just hang in there. Nice to have you on board.
