what do you really believe
by Sabin inwhat do you really believe the percentage is for jw who are truly ignorant of what is going on behind closed doors of the w.t.
as opposed to those who actually know something is wrong & yet go along with it for whatever reason?
i have been asked for coffee by what i can only describe as one of the sweetest persons i have ever known & i cant even begin to conceive that she knows what is happening with the child abuse cases but then how do i know?

I have been asked for coffee by what I can only describe as one of the sweetest persons I have ever known & I cant even begin to conceive that she knows what is happening with the child abuse cases but then how do I know? I don't cause for most of us there is the fear that we will be found out & punished so we say what we have to, to protect ourselves. What is your opinion on this? -

Blurring of genders
by Saltheart Foamfollower inas sometimes happens at elders meetings with the co, he has a letter from the branch to read out.
this rarely is made available later so any policies have to be acted on from memory.
this visit a letter was read about blurring of the genders and in particular brothers dressing in a metrosexual style - tight clothing was mentioned again.

What the hell are these guys on, are they taking away all personal choice. This comes down to their personal opinion. Well Puppet-masters in my opinion I find it effeminate for a man to wear jewellery including rings of any description. It isn't something I would wish to see my husband wearing & that's o.k. It`s also o.k. for some-one else to have a different opinion to me, it`s just a matter of personal taste. -

Need Help with Blood Transfusion Illustration
by Dissonant15 inplease, who can provide an intelligent rebuttal to the following illustration?
i always thought it was bullet-proof:.
"if your doctor directs you to 'abstain from alcohol' would you be ok to have it injected into your veins rather than drink it?

I think it has to do with what the motive of the individual is personally. For instance if you read Gen 19:30-38, it talks of Lots daughters getting him drunk & basically raping him. But what was the motive behind it? V 31,32. "Preserve offspring from our father". Their intentions were for good, for their fathers name to be carried forward. If you compare that with Lots wife , all she did was look back & she died, how could this have been a worse sin? because her heart was bad, She was not worried for the wellbeing of her daughters safety only for her own loss she was selfish. How much more so should this principle stand now that we have the sacrifice of Jesus, if we have no mercy on behalf of others then what does that sacrifice really mean, would we not be making it worthless. If a person chooses to have a blood transfusion to preserve a life, their own or that of a dearly loved one is their motive one of selfishness or of love. God is the judge of us all, it is the reasoning of our heart that he reads not our doing something out of fear of the GB. They always have an illustration that covers their asses but somehow they always miss the point. This is of cause my own opinion on the matter, while not the illustration you were looking for i hopes it helps. -

That is pretty much it isn't it. Those poor little kids. Have no idea that one day mummy and daddy will completely shun them if they don't do exactly what the puppet masters tell them. -

How wonderful is JW.ORG
by Sabin inthere are some who still love the organization & the people in it.. who understand that every large organization has their own issues.. they believe the advice on what type of person you are supposed to be & how to treat others has made them a better person.
and they believe, quite frankly, even if the g.b are a bunch of narcissistic wannabe powerful guys, the worest thing they have done is to wake up people on saturday mornings.. i`ve been awake most of the night thinking about this, wondering if this person had a point.
then something came to my mind.

Maksutov, the first 4 statements are not mine. They belong to a person who doubts the existence of God while defending the organization. It disturbed me that is all. I think it is better to have faith in a God then to have faith in WTBTS when they so obviously are corrupt. I just wanted to remind them of the information that they would have had access to so they could ask themselves wether going along with these policy`s truly made them the better person that they claimed to be. I hope this make it easy for you to understand.

If you think this organisation is so good then you absolutely don't believe in God. If you did believe in him you would be disgusted at what the organization has done to thousands of children & would not want to support there wicked guidelines. So you are one of 3 things.
!) stupid
2) Ignorant
3) Don't care about innocent children being abused.
I suggest that you take along hard look around you Sir, & think carefully about what you are supporting. Lies & deceit of every. SABIN wishing you all the best.

I`ve been awake most of the night thinking about this, wondering if this person had a point. Then something came to my mind. Here are a few things I would like to point out that remind me of who the GB really are.
GUIDELINES FOR BRANCH OFFICE SERVICE DESK, ( The October 1, 2012, letter to all bodies of elders provided instructions in connection with handling child abuse matters that may arise in the congregation.)
Q1. According to the January !, 1997 W.T. article, (a man known to have been a child molester does not qualify for a responsible position in the congregation) Does that mean he would automatically be disqualified even if the molestation took place before his becoming a baptized Christian?.
Answer: Not necessarily. Some one who has come into the truth has been made new in the force actuating his mind & has put on the new personality.
Q2. What if the man who molested a child before getting baptized is already serving in a responsible position? must he now step aside?
Answer: Possibly not, but it depends on the circumstances.
Q3. If a man molested a child many years ago after getting baptized, could he retain his privilege of service?
Answer: It is possible for him to retain his privilege.
Q4. The January 1, 1997, w.t article on pg 29 states that "a man known to have been a child molester" does not qualify for congregation privileges. What is meant by known?
Answer: " A man known to have been a child molester" has reference to the perception of the community & the Christian congregation. Factors to consider. The term "known" needs to be qualified. At times, information regarding a man is known only to the elders. The fact that they have knowledge of his past sin should not automatically rule out his serving.
Q7. Should the elders ask a man who is reaching out for congregation privileges whether he has ever molested a child?
Answer: No. It is not the duty of the elders to query an individual about whether he ever molested children.
Q8. What does pg 29 of January 1, 1997 WT article mean when it says that "a man known to have been a child molester....cannot Pioneer"/
Answer: It means that if the perception of the community or congregation is that a man is a sexual abuser of minors, he would not qualify as an auxiliary pioneer or as a regular pioneer.

they stood there for what seemed ages & as i watched something hit me.
they were here only because they were on the territory.

Lynnie, The Bastards!
Sir82, I think now the most important qualifications since jw.borg has been up & running is computer skills. A lot of the oldies don't know what to do & some have dedicated so much to the borg they now cant afford to have a computer, others don't want one because for years they were indoctrinated that computers were bad. So now they are left behind & no-one cares. Also they are the ones that may question the over lapping generation & the Puppet-masters cant have that.
On another point about the ministry, all I hear jw say is "the worldly`s, this & the worldly`s that" their calling on people claiming it`s to hopefully save their lives & yet referring to them in a derogatory manner. I have heard it said so many times (have done so myself ) then when a jw does something wrong it`s cause he`s imperfect & therefore to be forgiven, but if a none jw does the same thing it`s cause he`s a worldly. They are prejudice.
