Does anyone know the themes of this year's circuit and district conventions?
by mamacita29 ini'm trying to get a jump ahead for my colleague.
i am making progress though and she is now willing to listen to logic.
logic and reasoning is like kryptonite to jw's.

lf you had the opportunity to ask the GB a question what would it be?
by atomant inl thought this would be an interesting exercise to read the different responses.
my question is what makes you think your gods chosen medium?and prove it.

Just a simple question.
by Sabin indo you think it is easier for an elder to wake up to the wtbts because of the position he is in which gives him access to info that the rank & file would not be privy to, or do you think it would be harder for him to wake up because of all the prestige/power/admiration he receives as a result of being an elder, or does it come down to something else entirely?.

Do you think it is easier for an elder to wake up to the WTBTS because of the position he is in which gives him access to info that the rank & file would not be privy to, or do you think it would be harder for him to wake up because of all the prestige/power/admiration he receives as a result of being an elder, or does it come down to something else entirely?. -

Narcissistic personality disorder and the dubs
by purrpurr ini've recently started to research npd.
having identified several of my family members as having it ( no wonder we're such a ¿***#@**!!!!
up family)there's huge similarities between the borg and individual members of the cong as well i've noticed.the over whelming love of self, the need to believe in a grandiose fictional version of themselves, always striving for more power and wealth, being unable to stand any criticism, and then there's the manipulation of the victims too.i could be wrong i guess but what thoughts do you guys have about it?

1) Grandiose sense of self-importance. e.g. Exaggerates achievements & talents, expects to be recognized as superior.
2) Preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty or ideal love.
3) Believes they are special & unique & can only be understood by, or associate with other special or high-status people/institutions.
4) Requires excessive admiration.
5) Sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favourable treatment or automatic compliance with their expectations.
6) Interpersonally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve their own ends.
7) Lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings & needs of others.
8) Often envious of others or believes that others are envious of them.
9) Show's arrogance, haughty behaviours or attitudes.
If that doesn't sum up the WTBTS then I don't know what does. They make you unsure of yourself, which is why when you want to make a decision you cant do so on your own, no you must research in the W.T. articles first. The narcissists within the Borg will do very well thank-you. The rest will struggle, become oversensitive, indecisive, self-conscious, lack self-trust/confidence & have a general sense of insecurity. The Borg loves the fact that it does this to individuals, because they are sadistic, Godless, BASTARDS.
Of course this is just my opinion. The positive thing here my friends is that we are the lucky ones that woke up & as painful as it may have been, we got the F...K OUT.

If your Absence doesn't affect them, then your Presence never mattered!

Joe234, what you say is so true, we all know what is going to happen when we walk away, hell, we all did it to others at some time without stopping to think of the emotional trauma it caused them. So why does it hurt so much? You don't want to mix them you don't agree with the nonsense that goes on behind the scenes so why does it affect us as badly as it does?
I have a theory, JW'S are always banging on about how much persecution they get & how unfair it all is for them to be treated that way. We are indoctrinated with it, when we walk away it is a shock to realise that the persecutors are actually them & we are now one of their targets. We really have done nothing wrong except to say NO, I wont let you blow out the light inside me that makes me who I am. It isn't shunning in itself, we have all experienced that person who doesn't like us for what ever the reason & shuns us. It is all the other crap that comes with it. The constant cruelties that they will go out of their way to inflict. Like trying to take work away from you, gossiping in groups if they see you out etc, & you know that it is forever, that they will never stop. A youngster wont just get D'ed for smoking, they will get an entire character assassination. It runs deep.
Our absences doesn't affect them because when we were present all we were was a number.
THE BASTARDS. LOL.

A fresh start
by FormerlySandL inafter the worst introduction i could ever make on the forum i would like to reintroduce myself and make a fresh start on the forum and hopefully over time i will be able to redeem myself.
i have changed my user name which was over dramatic and ridiculous in the cold light of day but for transparency and to show i am not trying to hide anything i have adapted the original name and it now has a more positive feel.
after reading a lot of posts on this forum i am feeling more optimistic about my future.

Un-****ing-Believable
by OneFingerSalute injust a few observations from this morning.
.. this morning as i was trying to choke back the bile that kept wanting to come up during the wt study one comment in particular screamed cult.. towards the very end as comments were being made about "counseling" others with "gracious" words one of the uber-dub minstral-serpents made this comment, "we see in the last image that the brother is holding a bible as he counsels the other brother.
we look closely at the picture and we can know exactly what he is counseling the brother about.

I find it inexcusable that they are stumbled by a beard but not by all the child abuse that is so dominant in the Borg. -

Baptised younger
by Sabin inso why do you think the borg is encouraging youngsters to get dunked sooner?
i reckon it's cause they are easy to victimise.
i mean, some-one could say, keep our secret, nobody will believe you & god wont love you, but think of the power they would have if they say "you will be disfellowshipped," on top.
-
Sabin
so just out of interest what is the youngest age you have heard of some-one being disfellowshipped? 17 years is the youngest I know of. -
