i'm starting this because i was chatting with someone this morning about pictures of ourselves as kids.

i realized i didn't have any of myself so i got my mother to email me a few.

i promised i'd start a thread about it and if that person doesn't post the pic they sent me this morning, i will.

That hair was my trade-mark. I also had a really bad bed head that day.

I was teased because of my hair all through elementary school. (thanks for reminding me of my pain)

Not only could I not do birthdays and christmas, I was also called "buckwheat" and "broomhead!"

"Hey Broomhead we're about to pass out the Halloween treats you better sweep your little jehoba butt down to the media center cause you can't have none!"

Battlestar Galactica

i just got done watching the first 2 hours.

so far the storyline has been good.

i think that if your a scifi fan you will love this show.

she's come full circle...my wife who was once a jw (rabid) has completely taken over decorating the house for christmas this year...i didn't even have to get the boxes out of the garage....weeee....brainwashing over.

That's great Yeru and Merry Christmas.

My parents who were just DA'd have a home that is on the way to the KH, they put up lights and you can see the tree in the house from the road.....I swear it's going to cause a "car group" wreck. " RRRRRRRRRRRrr... BAM did you see that!"

well, my dad did his "elder" duty and called the elders in whose territory we now live.

two of them came by to see us this past saturday morning.

I'm sorry about your parents, I hope they come around. I really don't know anything about you but I thought your letter was excelent.

If it is any consolation, I at one time sort of was in a situation similar to yours, only that the roles were reversed (my Dad and Mom left the org after a lifetime within ) . I remember bawling when they refused to come to the memorial. I couldn't believe it.

I was extremely hurt and scared for them. My Dad was patient with me, and eventually I began to see the truth about the troof.

Maybe your parents will see it too. Don't count them out.

Yes..... I led a double life in high school, had alot of fun, was popular with classmates..but in the back of my mind I was doing wrong.

So... when I graduated I decided fun time was over, it's time to get serious about the troof. I got baptized, got married, and settled into a very adult life when I really was not one.

...blah, blah blah...and here I am. I think I grew most emotionally from 30 to 33. I just now feel like I know where I am going in life, and am enjoying every minute.
