Any Vegans on the Board?
by PrimateDave inmy new year's resolution is to make the lifestyle change to the vegan-pure vegetarian diet: no animal derived foods.. it is a change i have considered before on different occasions.
i didn't stick with the diet in the past due to lack of information, or perhaps the abundance of misinformation available on the optimum diet.
i've never been grossly overweight, probably never over 170 lbs.

I've refrained from commenting till I read quite a few posts. I support your endeavor. My family is not vegetarian, except for about three or four days a week. I completely agree with eyeslice. Our Western dependence on MEAT has cost us a lot more than our waistlines! If everyone gave up meat one day a week permanently , the price of gas would drop farther.
Think about the transport of animals, grains or food, trips to the slaughterhouse, packinghouse, and grocery stores....all dependent on gasoline.
St Ann may not believe it but I too belong to a CSA and buy organic when I can. When I can't, I buy responsibly such as free-range fed meats. I have two freezers and constantly rotate my green veggies. My family requests green veggies two or three nights a week; sauteed spinach etc.
Dave, I no longer drink soda or coffee and here is my preferred drink.
Let me know if you can't get it and I'll send you some.

Child Predator Caught by my Son

his friend and wife went to bed and james, my son, stayed up and played video games with their two children, son 11, daughter 9. the son and james went to bed.
the little girl continued to play and fell asleep on the sofa.. james got up a little after midnight to get a drink of water.

Most parents would be proud...
by Odrade inabout a year ago, he had an emotional crisis and questioned a lot of things, including his faith.
i thought (and hoped) that he would consider his beliefs and come realize that his beliefs were part of his crisis.
this was not the case, but he and i continue to be on good terms.

They are killing her.

i've for the most part been able to move on with life leaving the jws behind me.. but now i am being forced to deal with them again.
my mom (jw) has been sick and discovered that she has a mass in her throat (lower part in her chest) that is making it hard for her to breath.

I'm really sorry that your mom doesn't seem to be able to understand the severity of her condition. You may be able to reason with her by telling her that if she deteriorates rapidly, others will have to make medical decisions for her.
