Interesting they show a huge loss in 2013. I'd be interested to see what 2014 looks like....and I'd like to see if any of the "loss" is related to any other entity they control. -

bafh Thankyou, good point and I appreciate your comment. I am wondering how I may bring this in to the "suggestions" as the RC here is looking for a reason to de- exempt. All points are most welcome. I will take them all on board.
Thank you. What about making their tax exempt status dependent on complying with the requirements:
1) that all volunteers with any sort of responsibility - pioneer, ministerial servant, elder, etc be required to have a background check.
2) requiring elders to report to the authorities all known abuse regardless of how they came to be aware of it - confession or reports from parents/victims and without regard to how long it had been since the alleged incident(s) happened.
3) all who are known offenders - through their own confession or through conviction by a court - be made known in every congregation - like a known offender list - made available through the elders, or the branch - maybe even onJW.org in some discreet way.
I'm not sure what country you are in, but if they don't comply with legal requirements for reporting child abuse, their tax exempt status should be taken away or their organization dissolved.

It might seem too unreasonable for the first suggestion to go after the tax exemption. There is too much that can be done to finangle books and activities so they qualify - and it doesn't get to the root of the issue....
It would be more effective to recommend:
1) that all volunteers with any sort of responsibility - pioneer, ministerial servant, elder, etc be required to have a background check.
2) requiring elders to report to the authorities all known abuse regardless of how they came to be aware of it - confession or reports from parents/victims and without regard to how long it had been since the alleged incident(s) happened.
3) all who are known offenders - through their own confession or through conviction by a court - be made known in every congregation - like a known offender list - made available through the elders, or the branch - maybe even on JW.org in some discreet way.
my 2 cents

Minimum wages..raising the minimum question

minimum wage should be enough to support a person, not a family. If a person doesn't have the skills to earn more than minimum wage, then they need to get the skills or work for themselves and stop having kids they can't support. How hard is that, really? -

How Comfortable Are The Governing Body At Headquarter After This Massive Lay Off?
by Brokeback Watchtower inthis lay off and all the child molestation lawsuits coming to a head with more lay off in the wings.
i'm sure there is a lot of concern going on among those still there.
i'm sure a lot are finding out for the first time that the governing body are all frauds by doing secure internet searches to find out just how much they been had by these villans , i think the situation could be dangerous (the possibility exist).

My regular pioneer mom told me there were a lot of changes in staffing because they were "focusing on the preaching work." Couldn't be that there are lawsuits all over the place, and they are spending more money than they have....she's a true believer so it doesn't surprise me that she said this. At the same time, it is fascinating to me to see how people on the inside explain to themselves what is going on in such a different way than people who are on the outside. -

Was that the annual meeting or did I view thte QVC channel instead?
by Socrateswannabe ini have just started watching the 2015 annual meeting on jw broadcasting and if the first hour of the program is any indicator, i may not be able to finish it.
the rollout of the new midweek meeting by the two gb helpers was just too much.
replete with headphone mics and witty repartee, these guys were very apple-esque, or at least that was what they intended, i think.

This is shows no respect for their 'elders' as in wise men. Don't want anyone in there who might be reasonable. -

ANNOUNCEMENT CLIP ...2015 Annual meeting Sam Herd confirming what we knew a month ago about slow down and halt of worldwide construction

He should have said:
"These adjustments are not being done because of a lack of financial support on your part, but as you know - we are being sued up the ass for the way we've mishandled sexual abuse cases all these years, and funds have been diverted from the Kingdom work to make up for our negligence in this regard.
Nevertheless, we are confident Jehovah is guiding us in all matters...."

Is this clip on JW Broadcasting? I'd love to talk to my mom or friend about it, but if it's not on that site, then I don't want to bring it up and blow my cover because it is not publicly available.
