  Motives Behind JW Lies

  i know that in religions, they do what they do because it is about politics and money.

  those are the motives behind why religions are the way they are and do what they do.

  but can someone tell me what would be the motive(s) of jw's lieing and controling their participants (for lack of a better word)?

  I know that in religions, they do what they do because it is about politics and money. Those are the motives behind why religions are the way they are and do what they do. But can someone tell me what would be the motive(s) of JW's lieing and controling their participants (for lack of a better word)? Since we are not involved in politics, and take $ on donation basis to continue to print literature, then what is behind the motives of what is obviously a corrupt organization? How are they benefiting from being this way? Sincere answers please!!!! Thank you.

  Jesus vs Satan

  my daughter, who's not a jw,is visiting me.

  both her grandmothers are jw, so she went to.. meetings while growing up.

  she is now telling me that she was told ......and always believed ,jehovah created satan first, before jesus.she says the bible speaks of satan in the book of genesis, but not jesus.

  I know you already know this but for my own peace of mind: Jehovah did not create satan. Jehovah created an angel who then made himself satan. Had to get that out....out of PURE respect for my God Jehovah.

  Did you ever find the meetings refreshing?

  i can remember one pompous elder asking me "how can you be depressed after sittiing through such a wonderful meeting?!!".

  i only ever felt relief at getting away, what about you?.

  I am new on here and I am JW...but with lots of doubt. However I am wondering is this a site to actually discuss the meetings and vital matters of concern or is this a site to joke about the JW's? I love my God Jehovah, and don't wish to insult any religion. I want insight on why current JW's have reservations, as I strongly do about the organization. No I don't feel refreshed after a meeting. I feel trapped, coerced, brainwashed.
