My Wedding

so, my mom's trailer flooded last week and her congregation lifted not a finger to assist.

she was given 30 minutes to evac.

she made it out with her clothes on her back and her cats.

Suggestions for a cranky, stressed husband....all suggestions welcome.....

my poor guy is crabbier than hell.

i have kept him well fed, but it doesn't seem to do the trick.

i am calling on all men out there to tell me what to do and i know sex is an answer too, but is there anything in addition to this you guys wish for when work/life is stressing you out?.

My husband has a very stressed job as well, and gets mighty cranky. I find that food, sex, and I bought him a massage chair that he loves for our anniversary. Not sure if you husband likes massages, but if he does Sam's Club has this insert to a chair for $99 that is worth its weight in gold. Helps his mood, and thus not so cranky.

Went to doc, doc said JW religion oppressive

yesterday i went to the doctor....tired, weight gain, checkup, etc etc.

this is a new doc so i had to fill out all the forms, family history, where i was born, jobs i have had, underwear size etc etc.

as i was filling out the form, family history, father.....illnesses, deceased.

Remember what the doc told you....you are a SURVIVOR not a victim. You are strong, you have courage. I am so sorry that you have had to experience the heartaches that you have faced. I am thinking of you.

PROOF THIS JW Religion COULD BE THE TRUE RELIGION

well in the bible it says said by jesus christ himself... that "the true religion will be the relgion everyone despises and hates.".

is this not the relgion of jehovahs witnesses?..

look in the bible itself it says in john 15:18-19. jesus says, "if the world hates you, you know it has hated me before it has hated you.

First welcome.

One thing that I want to tell you is that you are told that all the world hates JW's. Not really true, most people just consider them a pain in the butt, but they don't really hate them. The ones that hate them are the ones that used to be JW's, and now we know the brainwashing involved. Keep looking into other religions, and open your mind to other ideas. You will be surprised at what you can learn. Keep coming back.

Does anyone remember?

but does anyone else remember the "demon scare" back in the 60s or 70s?

the watchtower came out with articles about demon possession.

Yup sure remember it. In fact, after I kicked my JW husband out of the house he told everyone at the KH he thought that an old trunk left in our attic was demonized, and the demon took a home in me. GEEE couldn't have been his abuse of alcohol????? Not on your life he said since he is still drinking an still an elder in a local KH.

Who Will Be Celebrating Thanksgiving & XMas This Year???

funny thing about jws----many celebrate thanksgiving but say they're only eating turkey with all the fixings by coincidence.

god made the food to be consumed everyday.

then you get witnesses who celebrate christmas the day before or after with all sorts of presents but they won't give it on the 25th because that day is pagan.

Hi Josie and welcome. I know what you feel about feeling strange posting. I had left for around 7 years before I came here, and the first time I posted I felt like I needed to keep looking over my shoulder to see if anyone was watching me. The guilt is just instilled in us, it goes away after awhile. Keep coming back.
