another memorable meeting with br.
dorkie... .
if you don't know these 2 elders, my previous post explains that superfine is a pioneer elder and "ex" child abuser and br.
I felt just like you about my children, the big difference was that I was married to a Brother Dorkie. So in order to get my three daughters away from their elder father trying to marry them off to a spiritual brother when they were just 12, I took them and left. I also wanted my girls to have a life, not like what I was raised in. It was the hardest thing I have ever done, but now my oldest is working on her Master's in Nursing, my middle daughter is working on her Master's in Anthropolgy, and my youngest begins college in March. So for all those out there who are worried about leaving with kids..LEAVE it is the only way they can have a normal rewarding life.

what is the wtbts exactly saying here because they don't let you make the truth your own?
besides nicknaming the religion "the truth", this is just another example of how the wtbts brainwash jws to think that the truth and the watchtower are the same thing.
i think this might be why jws, before hearing anything negative about the watchtower, already decide that it is false or they defend it.
First and most important welcome Pierogi......I have to be honest with you when you have been raised in the "lie" it isn't until you leave that the lightbulb comes on. I never even thought much about what I was singing....you just do it. Kinda like a lemming.

as a programmer i am exposed to high technology all the time and ironically this has given me an odd aversion to it!
i like gadgets and gizmos like anyone else; however i demand it be discrete.
when i'm out-n-about i want to be connected, but at the same time i don't want anyone to be able to see it.. for years i have avoided the bluetooth headsets that appear to be gaining in popularity, however im still not quite ready to get one because of the obvious geek factor and the simple fact that many people who wear them appear to be making the "look at me, i've fancy" statement.
For me I drive for work so much, that it is the safest way to talk on the cell. My bluetooth is so small I can wear it and no one sees it. My hair is very long so unless you saw my lips moving you would have no idea that I am still receiving calls. They are as the other poster said "practical."

i was just going through my cds and unapcking them and noticed that i have way more film scores than anything else.. particular favourites have to be:.
1) the mission - ennio morricone - beautiful and moving.
2) hannibal - hans zimmer - haunting and with a stunning opera piece which i love.
Anything that Andrew Lloyd Weber wrote. In fact, I am listening to Phantom of the Opera right now.

this is an interview i just read of an ex-member of the church of scientology.
there are a ton of them over at the site i read this on, but this one in particular really struck me because of the parallels i noticed between the cos and the jw's.
pretty heart-wrenching stuff.. .
Dan I would have to say that is why I said that JW's are more insidious. They look more mainstream then Scientologist and other cults, but once you are in the religion the tactics are similiar. JMO

it was raised in a comment quoted in the national post article today:.
on speaking engagements at kingdom halls throughout the country, fathers would sometimes even offer up their daughters in marriage to him because of the prestige of his position, he said.. have any of the gals here experienced this?
did your parents 'parade you' around visiting bethelites or try to set you up with them?
This is one of the main reasons why I left my elder husband that I have three daughters with. When my oldest turned 12 he was already talking to her about keeping her eye on a spiritual brother..i.e. bethelite, pioneer, elder, CO, or special pioneer. I told him if he didn't stop parading my girls around like ornaments on a caddy I was out of there. Didn't stop....I said, "see you later."
