and here's a blank canvas for you: .
Wow, I haven't laughted this hard in a long time. The problem is I am at work, and my co-workers are looking at me like I am nuts. Difficult humor to explain to "worldly folks."

not sure if this is the correct place to post this but i thought it would be better in here out of the choices.
the title was to hopefully make you at least be interested in this post whereas the politically correct non generalised question might be "is there a mindset of some on jwd?.
a while back i was browsing the forums and 2 posts stood out.
For many people visiting ex-JW support boards the JW religion was abusive. That is like asking a person that was abused by a trusted individual in their life, if the abuse lead to anything positive. Depending on who you are, where you are in the healing process, how you have intregrated the abuse in your life, will determine the answer to that question. That is why even here you will find those that hate the JW religion, those that really are tolerant, those that even asking the question is a flashback.
For myself, I hate the cult and the years it took of my life, but I also have positive things that I now enjoy that I learned in the cult. Surely I would not do what I do for a living, had it not been the education of learning to speak to to others, etc. JMO

i am new here so please bear with me.
i have been a lurker for the past seven years.
i am waiting until.
First welcome..glad you are here with us.
I think they are beginning to back away from many of their blood doctines because of lawsuits and PR. I think the JW religion is much more worried about money and how the outside world perceives them, then receiving a certain ethnic persons blood. JMO

i'd love a few ideas here.
my nephew has told my sister that he intends to ask me why i left the 'truth'.
he's a great kid and i'm hopefull he'll eventually see the light.
He is 18 and no longer considered a minor, so why not just tell him the truth. He must want to know or he wouldn't ask you. JMO

an earlier discussion has been highlighting the differences between da'ing and df'ing.
xena said:i am sorry qadreena but i have never in the 20 some odd years i have been a jw ever heard of an unbaptised publisher being d/aed...marked as bad association yes..but d/a...no...but i guess stranger things can happen.... well that brought it all back.. actually xena the exact same thing happened to my brother in the early 80's.
he was only 14. he'd carried on associating with a friend of his who'd been disfellowshipped.
Nic,
I just saw this post, how moving it was to read it...thanks for sharing with us.
Just remember we can't change a thing that happened a minute ago, but can plan for the future. How exciting for you to have your brother again, and he having you. Just wonderful news for your children that will gain a Uncle, Aunt, and cousins. Bring on the holliday's!!!!!!!!!!!

i've waited to mention this yet because certain dates needed confirming but just to let you all know i am getting married next month with megan!.
we may appear to be too young but you must understand .
1) we do love each other and we don't want to wait.
Congrats to the both of you. Just remember you can be much older and marriage still doesn't work. So you work on it from the beginning. As was already mentioned communication, communication, communication. We are here for you both. Good Luck!!!
