  Corporations settle when they want to diminish the amount of bad publicity. WTBTS is like any other big corporation.

  The payment is an admission that wrongdoing occurred. (Just like the RCC)

  i saw an instagram post showing a short clip of a talk being given in one of our southern states.

  the talk clip showed speaker making the statement, "jehovah doesn't want anyone to know satans real name, jehovah hates satan so much, he doesn't even want his name mentioned" .

  Haaaaa! The funny ha ha's never end.

  Maybe it will occur to them that Jehovah isn't God's name either. Probably why Jesus never once used it, not even when dying. It's some English translation of guess the vowels from Hebrew texts.

  Waiting For The "Real Life"...

  how many times did we have to hear this?

  just another way to make you feel guilty for wanting to spend time improving yourself or enjoying life outside the organization.

  to think of all the people that died waiting for the "real life" that is not coming is actually very sad and depressing.

  Name "UNWRITTEN" Rules That JWs Are Supposed To Follow

  as with the scribes and pharisees, there are a number of unwritten rules that witnesses are supposed to follow.

  here's a couple : "worldly" kids in society depictions are shown quite often wearing their baseball caps backwards.

  jehovah's witness youths would not want to imitate that "look".

  every one already heard that once, i'm sure.. what's funny and i always dreamt to do, but never had the courage, it's to take the box where you put contributions and throw it at the ground to break it.

  Be the lone (and single) brother hanging out at the house of two sisters.

  Work at an actual paying job. Help support your mother.

  Actually feed people who've sat listening to you for hours.

  Be uplifting not negative.

  The problem with JWs is that it is an US American religion. One that got stuck in the fabled 1950s television land. A complete life of make believe.

  The underline thing is for "show". All study articles when opened should give the appearance that a paint factory vomited on the pages. It is only the most spiritual minded who treasure books/mags/etc that look like a hot mess.

  having endured three days of dashing attempts at further indoctrination, i feel the need to write up some of the stuff i left with.

  it is just good therapy.. right away the change was noticeable in the air.

  the assembly hall in la feria, tx still smells like new.

  Watchtower 6/28/2015 on 1st Christian Courage, Have the Courageous Watchtower Leaders Ever Condemned Radical Islam?

  i read blondie's great summary of today's watchtower lesson and thought about all the christians who died from various deaths for preaching the word and because they really believed what they preached the watchtower asked something of this sort, "if you were a christian in the early centuries, could you boldly stand up to all the exquisite tortures hurled at the first century christians because they were not afraid to take a stand for christ or be cowards to evil!".

  are you aware of any condemnation made by the watchtower against radical islam or any actions showing their courage and being no part of this world?

  they attack patient christian religions but what about others, where is their courage?.

  Yeah, they know yapping would just end in tears. It certainly wouldn't be pretty.

  They say nada. In fact, in one of the African countries, Christians are being slaughtered by the hundreds (at one time). Nothing on that either. I figure it's because they only have 'Christ' in their title and not Jehovah.
