Who told you God is gonna kill billions? The JWs? Really? Seriously? You believe them?
JWS and numbers don't really mesh. Lol Just sayin'
i’ve been reading it for a few of years off and on, but have been a little too ... maybe ... timid to join.
i left the watchtower organization almost 20 years ago but never abandoned my faith and belief in god.
i knew the gb/organization didn’t represent god, so when i lost my faith in them, i managed to keep my faith in an all wise benevolent creator.

The OP asked if there were any believers. If you aren't a believer, why pop in? Is it just to argue with those who are? Talk about "immature and irrational".
Yawn ... too many years as a JW makes you crazy.
1. Their emphasis on the Mosaic Law is irrelevant to Christians. It doesn't apply. They do it because that GB has decided Christ is only for a few, so the rest get Moses.
2. Whether you think the God of Israel is cruel is subjective. It depends on whether one was a Jew or a Gentile (particularly a Canaanite).

DJS, I think maybe you should re-read my posts. Not that I was even speaking to you in the first place.
Aside from that, maybe it's wise that you "grow up" and understand that I am not interested in your opinions on my beliefs. I walked away from a group of people such as yourself a long time ago. 😉
I'm free to post whatever I want whether you like it or not. Been doing so here for over 14 yrs. I'll believe what I want whether you, the WT, or the trash man doesn't like it.
You must have been an elder, talking down to others in such a manner. Btw, that was a nice long "I hate God" post you wrote. Well good for you.
Live and let live. Good day to you.
i just frightened a jehovah’s witness lady half out of her wits!.
i just frightened a sweet jehovah’s witness lady half out of her wits.... .
she took off like a sprinter at the sound of a starter pistol!.
Hilarious!!! "Unclean, unclean" .... I couldn't stop laughing for a good bit. Awesome writing. I could envision the entire event.
Nice job. You were polite, allowed her to finish her presentation, and didn't jump at her like a psycho. Your words will stay with her. Now whether they turn any noggin wheels...???

Like I said Crofty, I don't subscribe to it as the Mosaic Law doesn't apply to Christians. It is finished. Also, you are mistaken about what I believe. To think every Christian believes Jesus Christ is God Almighty is your JW coming back. Squash that please.

LOL Crofty!
Er, everyone back then were or had been slaves. They could even sell themselves into slavery from the next verse or two. I would doubt most would treat their slaves like the Europeans treated African slaves since they (Israel) had been slaves themselves. It's not like they were allowed to forget that.
(Europeans forgot the slavery days to the Greeks, Romans, and the slavery of Celts by Nordic tribes.)
Besides the Israelites went to "prison" quite a bit as a nation.

I'm not Atheist ... (in answer to the OP's question) ... nor do I subscribe to the OT stuff since it doesn't apply to anyone anymore.
....it would not be scared of critics.
actually they would naturally take an offensive stance, wouldn't they?
they would welcome debate... even encourage it.
They're afraid. Afraid of just about everything. Whatever "spirit" they have is one of fear. Constant fear.
Besides, they can't defend anything. A "slave" / servant doesn't know what the master does so said Jesus. "Slaves" are in bondage.
Let the call themselves "faithful and discreet slave". It only brings out that they don't know what their master is doing, they aren't free - no Holy spirit, and they aren't adopted as sons. Sons get inheritances, slaves don't.saw a video with geoffrey jackson giving a talk on stage in a skirt.
is this for reall??.

Ahem!!!! And where are his stockings??? No bare legs in skirts allowed!!!
it occurs to me, if i was starting from scratch choosing a religion or belief system to join, there's one good question i should like answered first:.
does this religion promote a way of life and view of the world that would be satisfying even if not a single word of its doctrines are true?
if jws honestly answered that question i doubt many would say it's a good choice.
My only question would be if that religious sect was Christian, does it espouse the message and virtues of Christ Jesus as its focal point ....
