My only regret is that it seems to always take a disaster like this for all of us to remember that people around the globe just want to live in peace and see the same for their fellow man.
That could also be said for people within their own countries also. It's a shame really.

I think some Americans get taught a completely different history to us, oh yes it's called Hollywood.
Ballistic, that isn't the case. I guess the reason many Americans feel this way is because we were the last ones to enter the war. Before that it seemed as if the war was going to be won by Hitler. When in reality is was the work of all those Countries in unity against Hitler that won it. If we would all just sit back and realise just how much we ALL need each other then I think some of this hate would stop. I want to see the world, but I don't want to visit where I am not welcomed with open arms. I love people and I want them to love me to. I guess it's just to much to ask.

somewhere in Daniel it says that in the end of days we are going to have to pay an entire days wages just to buy bread.
I remember that verse but do not remember which one it is. If not mistaken, it wasn't a days wages but it came out to be in todays money as costing like $2 or maybe it was some other food but we did the math anyway. If it were in fact bread, that is what it cost already.
on thursday night, joe nichols played at the state fair here.
after the concert he came into the beer tent with his band members and security guards to drink.

Maybe some do, but I don't. I can't recall hearing any but am sure they are out there.
The only thing Bristish that I can think of that is gross is blood pudding. Yuck! But I love the accent, love the people. As a matter of fact, there are quit a few from England living in Fuquay. I try to keep them talking when I meet them because I love to hear them talk. It's a fetish I guess.

OK, im gonna put y'all out of your misery.Heres why everyone really hates Americans:
Theres this Big Fat American touring England, and he goes to Yorkshire and gets a little old Yorkshire man in a flat cap as a guide to show him round.. First they go to see York Minster. "Why we have churches twice that size back in the States" he says to the tour guide (who happens to have a strong regional Yorkshire accent - so please put one on in your head when you read the guides talky bits). Big sigh from the guide.
Then the guide takes him to look at Windemere. "Why we have lakes three times that size back in the States" says the American. The guide rolls his eyes but says nothing.
Then they go to visit a local fruit farm. Theyre walking through the orchard and the American says "Why we have apples four times that size back in the States". So the guide says "Aye well we mek 'em to fit our mouths".
KattieKitten, I'd be a bit miffed too if someone came here and put us down like that. It's a shame that "some" people seem to feel a need to be that way. I promise that not all Americans are like that. We just happen to have a few bad apples like the rest of the world. Hell, I only wish I could afford to see the world. The farthest i've been is to Mexico. I loved it! The food was wonderful and the people were down to earth. I love history and I think to travel Europe would be a dream come true for me. I promise if I ever am able, I will never come offf as such an ass. Just take me to all the historic sites and you'll have one happy camper.
