So true!
I don't remember if there's sex in any of the bible stories for children, but there's plenty of violence.
i've heard psalm 11 and 1 thessolonians 4 crammed down the throat so many times it's not funny.. if i was still a beliver (i'm not):.
jehovah hates violence:.
king and chronicles has numerous sex scenes.

hello everyone..... i've been thinking a lot lately, when i have a chance to be alone my mind immediately comes to the topic at hand-- i don't want to die.
what would happen to my precious little girls?
but i'm so scared that it's going to happen.
I don't know what your relationship was like with your husband, but I know a lot of couples try to stay together for the kids and the resulting environment ends up being very bad for the kids.
Are your parents jw? My mother usually refused help from her non-jw parents. I wish I had been able to spend more time with my grandparents as a child.
jws look down on others for saying, "bless you" if someone sneezes.
it has something to do with the demons.
another example is that it is considered satanic if a man took his hat off for a lady!
jws are the only people I know who think anything they pick up from a garage sale is possessed by demons
this weeks km is telling elders to arrange for group studies with people in local nursing homes, with instructions on how to word things when speaking to the directors etc.. they are clearly trying to get to people who may not be entirely able to think for themselves or who may lack critical thinking and yet may have money to leave to them.. what can you do?.
well, if you wanted to, write a short and simple letter or email to your local care home, perhaps directly even speak to the director yourself... warn them about the brainwashing and danger of breaking up of families etc.
the km says they should identify themselves as jw's... .
Defender of truth, thank you for posting this.
I am not regular on this site, so I only just found this discussion.
I have been thinking recently about who I might be able to write to so that I could try to protect the vulnerable from jw bible-bashings.
found this excellent video from a non-jw discussing the may 22 1994 awake that brags about dead children.

Do they still tell jw children that if they accept blood its like letting the doctor rape them? I remember being told that over and over and over again.
i wanted to share with you guys the argument i had today with my mother.
i've been away last week in a far away city for my college exams.
i've been staying at a friend, a jw who, just like me, is actually an atheist and doesn't believe a word the wt says and knows it's a bullshit cult but because of his family and friends he still stays in.
Cookiemaster, this is great!
My grandfather tried to get a sensible answer out of my mother about the whole evolution vs creation thing (my grandparents are non-jw). He asked "what about animals adapting to their surroundings". She said "yes they can adapt, but that's not the same as evolution".
My grandparents can't understand what went wrong. They are both well-educated people and so are both of my uncles. My mother left home at 16 and went to work on sheep and cattle stations right up the northwest of australia to be close to nature or god. Then she met the jws and joined up with them, and now she refuses all logical reasoning.
it might be the way i think and see, but the first time i looked at the image on pg 27 of the april 15th watchtower i was trying to figure out how it applied to this study.
this is a darkened black and white image that appears in my edition of this magazine, (its colour online).
anyway, para 9 talks about a brother that had an issue with looking at online porn.
I remember my mother studying one of the youth books with me. (It was one of the older ones that had a chapter about masturbation.)
The problem was she didn't seem to be able to explain what masturbation was to tell me not to do it! *smirks*
a big discussion driving back from the regional convention about what exactly was meant about pets.. the warning was obvious to me.
don't get pets, they cost time and money and you would do better to spend your time and money supporting the organization and going in field service.. as to the wine and beer, because the bro during his soliloquy admitted that the first thing he would like to do is relax after a hectic day at work with a glass of wine or beer, his conscience was traumatized.
however he came up with a perfect idea, he'd go tend the garden (obviously a solution for a married bro) or hit some golfballs at the driving range (maybe he's not married).. maybe jesus should have told the wine guzzlers at cana to sober up and go till the fields.. .
The CO at my mother's pioneer school about 20 years ago definitely seemed to have regard for pets.
He told the school that if any of them had left a pet chained up or without the food, water and shelter it needed, then they had no business being at the pioneer school.
about a week ago, i had my "encouraging visit!
" it was real last minute, and i said , "yes!
" they were not expecting that, and they missed their dinner.
*sniggers*
They are so full of shit!
so one of my in-laws, a born in dub, started asking me questions about the issues i am having with the religion.
so i told her, rather carefully, how i discovered all the child pedophile cases, went over some of the case details, explained it is occurring all over the world, so isn't just some random misunderstanding, but is widespread hiding of child sex u all abuse.
she was horrified.
Oh, and I just remembered, there was a WT about seven or eight years ago about the danger of women who "speak against the congregation". I think that included women asking questions.
