My question for you, does your parents or anyone in your family allow you to go to their house? The issues I am having, whenever I see any family member in public they will openly talk to me as in a normal conversation but as far as going to my parents house that is off limits, if I tried calling my parents on the phone, espeically if my dad answers that is off limits to so to a certain extent I am being shunned by family, also my sister is married to an elder so that might be something to do with it and also maybe to a certain level family is accepting me for who I am, and also as far as shunning I think there is different levels of shunning that goes on.

Could the JWs sway you back...?
by new22day inop based on mr. freeze's topic - could attending the meetings/studying again sway any of you back to the org.
hearing the propaganda over and over again is pretty powerful i'm sure.
(i'm a non-jw, non-christian (no offense), stubborn as a bull and even i had moments of pause based on some of the doctrine (lasted 30 seconds) but i never had family/friends at stake or a background in this.

It depends on the reason, I am not afraid of what other people think when I am dancing because I have a passion for dancing thats in my heart and soul, everyone tells me I am an awesome on the dance floor, mostly I like to dance solo but do get alot of attention from the ladies on the dance floor, I sometimes go to a gay/straight dance night club where I live, have had so many awesome times there, during halloween I was Darth Vader dancing to hip hop I got the idea from on youtube watching Darth Vader dancing to hip hop at Disney world, also I have the Just Dance 4 game for my playstation 3 and also Michael Jackson Experience, overall dancing is something very positive in my free time that has helped me cope with all that happened after leaving the Watchtower, its so poisitve that after a nigth of going out and being on the dance floor I come home smiling and way more happy, sometime I'll put up a youtube video of me dancing to Just Dance 4.

Dear watchtower bible and tract society, governing body, and all of your twisted teachings...
by OneDayillBeFree inafter today's watchtower study which was basically a mind controlling article about shunning your loved disfellowshipped ones, i've come to see just how sick, twisted, vile, rotten, repulsive, disgusting, and just plain evil you all are.
so i stormed out.
i don't know if i'll ever come back to your meetings again.

This article is really a piece of horsehockey shit to the most ummph degree, I usually don't swear but thanks to the governing body/watchtower I am getting still shunned by immediate family and then these articles come out and it only reinforces it in their minds to shun more

This month marks my 2 year anniversay of being both mentally and physically out of the Watchtower, its been the most happiest times of my life being out:) I have to admit I made mistakes and went out with a bang and in the process I hurt my parents, if I had to do all over I would have faded instead, right now I am being shunned but one thought to keep in mind, this is a positive thought that I have that one day all my immediate family will be free and I will once again be able to talk to all of them.
If there is anyone on here like me that is being shunned the best thing I can say is keep that positive thought that your family members will soon be free to:)
