Maybe that blood washed multitude crowd consists of all those who murdered and were murdered in the name of the son and his father.. 5,000 years of blood, genocide, mayhem and human sacrifices make it a number too numerous to count.

Who Really is ..... The Blood Washed Multitude (Great Crowd) ?
by Perry infor jw's the issue has never been who the faithful and wise servant (f&ds) was.
that is just misdirection and sleight of hand.
it is plain from the context that this was obviously a rhetorical question meant for self introspection.

My thoughts exactly! But of course, that couldn't possibly be the case because that would suggest that Christianity is guilty of blood-letting, when Christianity has done nothing other than spread the teachings of "Christ" about love and non-judgement, right?Biblical interpretation is always tailored to fit the "My religion's right and your's is wrong" rhetoric. -

Thanks for the upload! I had to laugh at the end: The Jehovah's Witnesses website claims that disfellowshipped persons are not cut off and day-to-day dealings may continue". That's a blatant lie that the zombies are clearly aware of, it's on THIER holy site, yet the lie is justified somehow by the R&F. Clearly the Borg is hiding a truth that is both harmful and a blight on their image as a loving religion and they know it. And THAT, dear friends, is why I refuse to make any distinction between the GB and the R&F die-hards when I say I hate JWs. -

The elders of the 1980s are now in their 60s and 70s
by truthseeker inhaving just come back from the uk and spoke with some witnesses to find out how my old congregation is doing, i realized i am now the age that my elders were when i was a kid.
and i wonder what the elders who are now in their 60s and 70s are thinking when they look in the mirror and an old face looks back at them.
many of the elders in my old hall are now retired.

After having invested so much of their lives seriously doubt the vast majority would start contemplating alternatives to the Borg at this late stage in their lives. -

" See ourselfs as others see us"
by The Rebel inthe membership rule is simple, you join the organisation for life and undertake to serve for life.. my o.p is based on the poet robert burns who talked about the gift to " see ourselfs as others see us".
i think maybe the hardest thing for me to leave, the jehovers witness " organisation" was to accept how my family and friends will now "see" me.. so my questions are how difficult was it to leave:-.
a) knowing the reaction of friends and family?.

It was worth it for me, but then again it was infinitely easier for me since I wasn't baptized and only my immediate family were witnesses, so I had lots of uncles, aunts and cousins who thought my mom and brother were nut cakes (my dad was just a publisher). Also, I had heaps of worldly friends and even some of my JW friends still hung out with me. For those of you who are/were baptized, have die-hard zombies for spouses with kids, and entire families in the Borg with few or no contacts on the outside, I think you're incredibly brave for breaking away. You all have my sincere and utmost respect. -

How are you spreading TTATT?
by vinman injust wondering if anyone has used any underhanded ways of spreading ttatt.
i mean, has anyone made up business cards or tracts and spread them far and wide?
i would love to engage in this "alternative witnessing".

I take very opportunity to chat with them about three key issues:
1914
Overlapping generations
1975 and the other failed prophecies
And now the new one: the GB aren't god's chosen, according to GJ. This particular one (video of him using "presumptuous") is on my phone as are a few others.
A few different scriptures so they don't assume I'm someone who's clueless about the bible.
I NEVER talk atheism with them, I find it instantly shuts them off. For me I've always had better success picking topics they can immediately identify with or better - have experienced themselves, like the 1914 gen almost all being dead but still no sight of the end.
If I seem them offerimg someone literature or having a chat I ALWAYS interject and ruin their "pitch".
Since I gave the last two who came to my door a good talking to, I haven't seen one in my neighborhood for at least a year.

Pewony:
Your story made me grin and want to clap as I always do when I read about those who set themselves free. I must commend your husband for his courage and loyalty choosing you above the Org, as is what you would expect from anyone claiming to love you. This should be great encouragement for those still trapped by that cruel cult. Welcome to the forum and the rest of your real life!

The problem with holding religions to account for their crimes.
by smiddy inlately we have seen governments from all parts of the western word challenge religious institutions on a variety of issues .
such as tax status , charitable status , child sex abuse by religious institutions , etc.etc.. just how effective these investigations are or will be only time will tell.. their are many factors that will influence the outcome.. politicians make up the government , human beings make up the politicians , and the politicians have their own personal beliefs .
and the electorates these politicians represent are made up of people with their own religious preferences ,and the politicians need to keep in favour of their electorate to remain in office.. and lobbyists whether religious or otherwise do influence outcomes .an elected politician wants to hold onto his seat , his job , his income.. the australian royal commission into institutions of child sexual abuse gives me hope that these concerns will be addressed .. i can only hope so , not just for the jehovah`s witness children who have been abused , but for all children who have been abused ,by all institutions secular and religious .. smiddy.

Don't forget: religious people in general represent a large portion of the politician's constituent. They don't want to offend anyone in fear of losing that portion of the vote. At the moment New York is having a rough time dealing with the Hasidic communities underhanded practices due to all the "deals" the politicians have made in order to secure the Hasidic vote, who in a few counties hold enough power to determine The outcome of an election. -

Sister attendants not able to give directions to a brother..Misogyny
by Theburstbubble inat our recent rc i was advised by a sister who was an attendant that they have been advised not to be able to give brothers directions as this should be dealt with by the brothers.
apparently at the pre-convention attendants meeting, the sisters were asked to stay behind.
this was when they were given the news that the brothers should deal with brothers.

When I compare the ladies on this forum and the ladies in my life I can see why these Org women get trampled and accept it. The ladies here and in my life have self esteem and self confidence. Of course higher education which the majority Org zombies are discouraged from, goes a long way in enforcing and improving those traits.
