Largest amount of refugees since WW2 in Europe
by Powermetal4ever inso i had a discussion with my mother about this, and she claims that because of this that: "we are surely living in the last days right now" while i must admit myself that the situation seem chaotic, i don't want to believe that it is the last days.
so question is, how do i face an opinion like that?

If we could only get over our differences and come together as a species for the common good there would be no refugees to begin with. Of course at this point in our history this is just a fantasy but it's my favorite fantasy ... -

London Bethelites Are Agitated!
by The Searcher ina source has informed me that a relative who's in london bethel has said that a number of bethelites there are very uncomfortable and embarrassed because the branch has received "quite a few letters" querying why members of the governing body were wearing flashy rings and jewellery on some of the monthly broadcasts, but on the broadcast when the g.b.
asked for more money from the congregations - their gold and jewellery was not on display!.
will probably emerge one day wearing sackcloth, begging for yet more donations..

That's a legitimate concern, I would say. At least they're paying attention and questioning irregularities instead of shaking with fear at the thought of questioning god's chosen. -

Homo sapiens is also missing (let alone the missing links in between)
by iconoclastic inthe word sapiens (from latin, meaning wise) when applied to humans as final evolute, it is understood that humans manifest wisdom in their day-to-day living.
one of the features of being wise (which means having/showing experience, knowledge, and good judgment) is about replacing wastages with something better.
is this being done with regard to many of the greater aspects of our lives?.

I'm sure you're a nice guy but I would love to know what the hell you're on about in 90% of your posts. I would love to be able to make sense of them so I could actually understand where you are coming from and participate in your discussions.

Jesus was historical, and inspired too!
by iconoclastic injesus said something that only our generation could provide an avalanche of proof.
he said: it is easier for a camel to get through a needles eye than for a rich man to get into the kingdom of god.
(mathew 19:24).

To me it sounds like you harbor some serious biterness for the wealthy. I'm not a fan of multinational corporations myself but laying all the blame at the feet of the rich is a bit of a stretch. In the end we as a species have caused our own bad situation through our shortcomings. If every humans stopped playing the blame game and accepted their smallest responsibilities our future would look so much brighter.
An example would be: instead of complaining about global pollution, pick up that wrapper we just walked passed instead of making it someone else's problem. Better yet - don't throw down our wrappers because we don't think it's a big deal.
Accepting responsibility for our own actions and attitudes is where changing the world begins.

August Study WT "Prepare Now to be a Good Little Drone in the New Order"
by JW_Rogue ini thought paradise was supposed to be a delight?
not according to the august study wt, on page 20 paragraphs 4-12 it outlines how much paradise will be exactly like being in the org today.
still following rules, waiting on jehovah and obeying those taking the lead.

A passing thought when driving past an inactive JWs place today.
by joe134cd ini'm going to tell you of a family i knew of when growing up as a jw.
she was a solo mother who had 2 daughters and these 2 daughters were absolutely stunning both physically and personailty wise.
i remember thinking at the time how commendable it was that such beautiful looking women would choose to stay in the organisation.

Zimunzucz:
Simply put, the future generations of mankind derive no useful benefit from homosexuality. Traditional marriage is all about procreation and the viable continuation of our species.I was not going to reply to this because your comments had me fuming so bad It actually caused me acid reflux but I found myself still stewing a while later and realized I was not going to get past this until I said something. So I put down the laundry and picked up my iPad:
What you are suggesting is that the only reason people get married is for pro-creation. This tells me a few things.
1) Your marriage must be awful having been married for this sole purpose. Not love, not mutual respect, not common interests. Your wife is merely there as a dutiful sperm receptacle so you can ensure the survival of our species. How noble! I would much rather have a gay marriage for reasons Other than ensuring the continuance of our species. Since I got a vasectomy to avoid contributing to the population problem, I guess my wife can leave me now that there is no other purpose for me in the relationship.
2) Clearly global overpopulation is also less important to you than your own needs and views, much in the same way as the happiness of others. You're an outstanding example of selflessness!
3) You personify everything that is still wrong with our species in the 21st century.
I do not want to get into a discussion with you in much the same way I would not want to attempt conversation with a brick. I just wanted to let you know that you sound ridiculous, pathetic, disturbing and I would say pitiful if I held any pitty for you but the truth is I don't. I find you utterly repulsive and I despise everything you and your ilk represent.
That is all.

The system woked in this case.Indeed! Although we still have a long way to go as a society, I'm still amazed at how far we've come in just the last 15 years. I'm sure the vast majority of us would never have conceived that gay marriages would become legal by 2015 had we been asked in the 90's if we thought it possible.
