  hi, my uncle made the first move by taking my mom, dad, grandma and grandpa(all in good jws in standing and non have put out anti-jw fliers or speech), that's who he is taking to court.

  i have left the organization but than again, i was only a unbaptized publisher.

  my grandma (whom i love so dearly was shocked to learn "i am not going to marry a pioneer and i don't want anything to do with any pro-jw females, i feel this religion is one of the most hateful religions mankind has seen).

I'm a nobody creature like all other creatures only far less important than let's say a bird which plays a vital environmental role. You're obviously a person who genuinely cares and that in the end, is what this planet needs above all else. Please don't be offended by my sometimes questionable sense of humor.

  well it was a circuit assembly but basically the same thing.

  imitate jehovah in your family using resources wisely was one of the parts.

  they basically said don't buy a new cell phone so you can give more to "jehovah".

  Today's meeting & WT 7/2015 study "Work to enhance the spiritual paradise"

  so, much against my inclination, i went to the meeting this sunday morning.

  just starting to fade, but i needed to do it so that it doesn't look like my hubby turned my head during last week's vacations.

  since i'm not just disappearing cold turkey, i went.

  The sort of religious person I admire and respect who does outstanding humanitarian/charity work "in the name of god" is Sam Childers. The guy is a preacher who has risked his life and personal finances for years saving kids in southern war-torn Sudan. Imagine Lett or Morris' doughy white asses running around in the sweltering African heat taking on Armed guerrillas and spending their own money in order to spread the "word of god" and rescue kids - LOL!

  Do US JWs Still Knock on Doors?

  this may sound like a silly question, but do jws even door-knock any more?

  the few i know only speak of "manning the cart" at some public location, and because they get defensive if i even ask an innocent question like this i thought i'd ask it on the forum.

  None have knocked on our door in over a year. But they can often be seen standing quietly at the local train station or chatting amongst themselves, mags in hand. When I was still in the bOrg most Saturday mornings were spent doing two hours of "street work" when we would walk the streets approaching random pedestrians (I detested this more than house to house field service) and then Sunday mornings field service. In my 12 years living in New York I have NEVER seen a JW doing street work in the city.

  Yes the irrational fear which many right wing and independant so-called constitutionalists harbor for their government has always something I have found both perplexing and contradictory for a people who claim to be the ultimate patriots. Good point BTW.
