I wonder if there are any old letters to congregation BOE's still around, directing them on how to conduct talks for the preparation of 1975's coming events? That would be a nice way to link what was actually taught in the KHs to the GB's directives.

I think for SOME people, those individuals who NEED authority to tell them what's right and wrong, it keeps them in line, which is probably a good fruit. I'll qualify this by saying that I don't need to be told that sleeping around would hurt my wife, so I don't do it, (having a face like a bag of spanners has nothing to do with it!) However there are some that need to be told, for them I think religion is probably a good thing.

Perhaps you are right - I am no psychologist. I think though that being "told" does not give people moral direction if their moral compass is faulty to begin with. Being told what they did was morally or spiritually wrong may cause them to "regret" their actions but I highly doubt it's very effective at keeping them in line. Certainly secular laws seem to have little or no effect on those who have a propensity for poor behavior, in fact it rarely even corrects that behavior. What makes you think religious threats or guidance would have a better effect?

at the 42:30 minute mark she states "i cannot believe it crossed my mind...to look on jw dating sites".

guess a new unwritten rule is added to the many oral traditions of these pharisees.

Tell us something about yourself: I love the outdoors because I get to spend a lot of time in people's gardens going door-to-door. I also love walking because being a pioneer I can't afford a car. I like learning about lots of different stuff like the bible and stuff.
What do you look for in a partner: well she needs to be a girl and like not answer the cool questions in the Watchtower on Sundays so I can be the uber cool one. She's got to like buying used clothes because we would both have to be pioneers and we wont have money for new clothes. If anyone needs clothes shes got to respect that I need them more than her. She should be hot so all the other pioneer bros can like be jealous and stuff. She musn't like parties and must only like to do the things I like to do like walk a lot. And hang out at the KH.
