Name Things You Can't Do If You Are JW...or not supposed to do
by minimus inwitnesses are not supposed to stand for the national anthem but can stand for a flag salute.. you can't say bless you if someone sneezes, good luck!, or " you too" if someone says, happy holidays.. it is a religion of cannot dos.
everything is pagan and worldly.. what are things that are unacceptable to jehovah's witnesses that really are no big deal to everyone else?

Guppy Hunter:
read my posts. From one of my first posts on this forum when Cofty and Viv corrected me I did not argue, I listened and learned. Many of my posts show I not only admitt when I'm wrong, I eagerly ask for information and appreciate it. I study it and learn from it even when I disagree. To graduate from being a fool you have to take your licks and learn. Sorry, I respect and get on with almost everyone here but for those that are irrationally prejudice against others or fools. And because I'm a fool all too often and anger myself when I am, why should other fools be excluded from what I feel for myself in that mindset?

The thing with me is, I dont want to have to manipulate the situation to get my parents involved. It is the equivalent of being with man for 10yrs and browbeating him to marry you, you leave him in an attempt to 'convince' him he needs you, then he comes crawling back. To me, if he really wanted yo marry you - no browbeating would be necessary. Same with my mom (folks). If anything, I want natural affection to take over...not all of that background work.I have to disagree. Even as a husband there is no way my love for my wife should be able to come close to what a parent should have, particularly a mother who had your heartbeat in her and shared her blood with you for 9 months!

As LisaRose pointed out, it's normally the obvious thing to reach out to your parents - it's definitely NOT your fault! -

Guppy Hunter won't answer your question, he/she's clearly demonstrated his/her incapacity to be honest.

Thank you. Oh well there goes my illusion of thinking of Christ as more of a Ghandi than a diety. So my contempt for the bible is now complete.

Well to me even though the Bible is shyte, if Jesus had have said what he said it would be in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts. Not what some other dipshit decided to add to it later. So I was refering to what is supposedly have been recorded of what Jesus actually said when he was supposedly here. Did he ever preach damnation in those books? -

Cofty:
I don't remember Jesus himself saying that (I haven't read the bible in years for the same reason I don't read fiction), may I ask for a scripture reference? Not that it matters really I've just obviously been under the mistaken impression that in his actual gospel (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, acts?) he never spoke of eternal punishment. Or if anyone else can provide the scripture please?
