Basic Principles for Forum Moderation
by Simon ina perennial issue for any online forum is moderation and applying rules.
we have a set of community guidelines and posting guidelines that are intended to make clear what is and isn't acceptable but this tends to focus on the obvious standards of behavior for, well, obvious reasons.
it's easy to talk about people being aggressive or insulting etc... as those are common and clearly unwanted behaviors and the typical issue for online communities - the most likely things to come up.. does this mean that everything *not* on the list is allowed?

it declares that many of today's best magicians are in league with the devil.
his claims are based on his observation that the tricks would be impossible to do unless the magicians had made unholy pacts with the devil.. so what's the take of the wtbts?

You have the right to ridicule them in your own space. They have a right to worship undisturbed in theirs. If you want to make it OK for someone to burst into their space and be disruptive then that also makes it OK for them to burst into your space and be disruptive.
My thoughts exactly. Had it been in open public that would have been a different matter entirely. Even so, it still reeks of immaturity.

Why do animals suffer?
by nicolaou inbonnie is fourteen years old now and she's still fit and active, but she sleeps (and farts) a lot more and is definitely slowing down.. she loves us in her own dumb way and always comes to the door to greet me when i get home from work.
she doesn't 'sin' but yeah, she'll steal biscuits and feel shame afterwards.

It's these many questions which are all part of the inquisitive tapestry driving us to enjoy the questions and answers we patch together with which I have reached conclusion like so many other athiests, that there is no divine plan but instead extraordinary ongoing random events which allows us to clearly see life for what it is - tragic and stunningly beautiful.
